I bought this vehicle for the purpose of reselling it on Ebay. I have a high school friend who owns an auto dealership in Ky. He allows me to check out his trade ins and lease returns for this purpose. When I find one that I'm interested in, I have it checked out mechanically. If the vehicle needs only minor repair, I buy it and have the repairs done. This Monte Carlo SS is #3210 of 3333 manufactured in 2002(the last of three years this car was produced). I verified that this is a real Dale Earnhardt Signature Edition through General Motors. If you would like to verify it for yourself, you can call GM customer service @1-800-222-1020. When you speak to a representative ask for Reference # 71-1048725498 and RC# 09047. They where kind enough to open a reference file for anyone interested in verifying this car authenticity. This Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS needed the hazard light flasher replaced, the repair of the junction of the power delivery wire between the radio fuse and amplifier, some minor paint work, and a cleaning. This Monte Carlo runs and drives great. The engine(3.8 liter 6cyl. making 200 horsepower) and transmission(automatic with overdrive) performs as expected, with no unusual noises, leaks or smoking, from either, warm or cold. The car is equipped with 16" diamond-cut aluminum wheels, am/fm stereo with cd, Ebony leather seats with pewter surfaces, pewter door panel inserts, embroidered red bowtie in front seat headrests, Instrument cluster with Dale's signature, RCR logo and stylized No.3 graphic, passenger side instrument panel placard featuring the stylized No.3 and Dale's signature, special door opening kick plates feature the RCR logo, power windows, power locks, power steering, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, heated front six-way power seats, fog lights, keyless remote entry, bright stainless-steel dual exhaust outlets, sport suspension and four-wheel disc brakes with ABS and race inspired front cooling ducts, race-inspired rear spoiler and full perimeter ground effects, electronic traction control. electrochromic inside rearview mirror, electric sliding sunroof, dual power outside heated mirrors, leather wrapped steering wheel with audio system and cruise controls, and front airbags. The exterior features black with galaxy silver metallic ground effects and a traditional red perimeter racing stripe, Intimidator graphic on the decklid, Dale's signature and famous stylized No.3 racing graphic, Richard Childress Racing(RCR) graphic on each ground effect, just behind the front wheel opening. All of the afore mentioned equipment is in good working. The interior of this car is in great shape with no signs smoking, i.e. burnholes, discoloration or smell. The only exception to this is a burnhole in the middle of the driver's seat that was the result of a hot sodering gun when at the chevy dealership for the stereo repair. The exterior of the car has minor scratches, dings, and some areas where the paint finish is not uniform due to the repairs that were done(the paint work that was done was to repair faded spots and minor dents, no major damage). The tires are @ 70%. I DRIVE THIS CAR DAILY BECAUSE I'M A HUGE NO.3 FAN, SO THE MILEAGE WILL BE SLIGHTLY HIGHER AT THE AUCTIONS END! According to the Autocheck report I have this car is a two owner car with no accidents(Autocheck score of 77 out of 79 possible). Also, the report shows no title or mileage problems.
