Vehicle Detail

The car body being offered is a four door sedan reconstructed as a five window coupe. The top is chopped and filled, with all work done by me, to a high level of quality. The hard work is done with the details left to the buyer’s vision. NO windows garnish moldings. The frame shown in the pictures is just a shop fixture and not included. I have a Brookville Roadster dealership, and will order any parts, the buyer may want, at my cost. Fenders, grill shell, chassis, etc. Details: Cowl The four door cowl sheet metal was separated from the structure, allowing the patches needed to be properly hammer welded into place. Working with the disassembled components allows for a very clean chop with a minimum number of splices, and metal finished external splice. 2 ½ inches removed at windshield. Cowl vent needs minor work. I left it as found in case the buyer wants it filled. Buyer will get the choice of several nice firewalls, and dash boards. All the windshields I have are rough, yours if you want. Original condition windshield side garnish included. Roof The roof is welded up from the four door parts cut down. Nice rain gutters. Steel structure over door. The filler panel is from a 1965 Ford Fairlane four door, similar to a Mustang roof panel. I did have to fill three small holes, where an old fashioned Cherry might have been. Doors When I chop a top I start with the doors. Working from a template of the desired window shape, allows both sides to be matched up quickly, and insures an optimal shape. The right door has a six inch bottom patch and needed repairs. The left side door patch extends to the bead. Consider window regulators and latches, not included, but I probably have some in my junk pile. Quarter Panels I formed the quarter panels and windows from scratch. I have a set of steel bucks and accurate templates, made off of past projects. Wheel wells are from Brookville. Trunk The trunk lid, with stock type hinges and no latch, is new from Brookville. I have one with latch hole and one without. I also used there reproduction gutters, panel below trunk, inner braces, rear floor pan and extensions. 218-371-1225
