Vehicle Detail
Hello and welcome to my auction.... CAUTION: IF YOU DON'T LIKE ALOT OF ATTENTION THIS IS NOT FOR YOU! I can start off by saying how often do you see these Corvair Rampsides? If you have, it was not this cool AND maybe not as solid as this one! These flat nose vehicles of the sixties are HOT items currently in the market and when you find a good one, you don't let it pass you by. Originally from New Mexico-Texas vehicle and now in Ohio for less than a year. THE PATINA RAT ROD MARKET IS ON FIRE, THIS ONE IS AN ORIGINAL! A true RARE nasty PATINA RAT RODDERS DREAM with true vintage style, this one has it all... NOTE: All the Script logos "are Original and was put on this truck in 1972 in New Mexico- NOT SOMETHING MADE TO LOOK OLD! It was used at Bowdens Farm Salvage Company since 1972 and was kept inside from what I was told and the title states this as well. I have the 1972 title Issued in Bowdens Farm Salvage. A very solid example and only showing some light rust issues in its 50 years of life. Anyone that knows these Rampsides will tell you they mostly rot really bad, BUT NOT THIS ONE! Here is a list of what has been done to this unique Cool Rampy since I built it this year... *New dual carbs- from the best in the businees "Wolf" *New fuel pump *New master cylinder *Tune up *Drained/cleanned tank *Disc brake"front" conversion kit all new bearings seals * dropped right with 2 1/2 drop spindles + 1 coil up front *lowered 4-5 inches in the rear coils *New brake hoses *17x7 Front Billit Specialties wheels /while Tucking the Billit 17x8 on the Rears all with like new tires all around. This is the look I was after pure Patina original nasty ratty shop truck setting on updated billit wheels. [ on the wheel issue some may like it some may not- if you don't like the wheels i have the stock wheels i will gladly replace- so its your option on what wheels you want when auction ends. If you dont say anything it will come with the billet wheels] The truck does run and drive and the clutch is good. It has a 110hp car engine in it. It runs, shifts and drives good but due to the engine setting for quite a long time it does smoke , has some blow by and also has small oil leak. I was hoping the rings would free up with some more driving by placing some engine treatment in it, I still need to try this and just keep driving. It also will need a $89.00 front end alligment to make perfect- I did not have it done after the conversion was done, it is very close and drives fine- just do not want to wear out the tires. It is sold as is-- in running driving condition with stated above known issues. I drive it locally and have a blast in it, I love it and hate to sell it but wanting to buy a new Duramax Diesel $$$$$ NEED MONEY. They are no warranties on it due to its age, its old but a nice solid original. I have the right to end the auction at any time as it is for sale locally. You can contact me for more info, just leave your contact info and I will get back with you. GOOD LUCK ON THIS AUCTION.... YOUR GOING TO BE THE TALK OF THE TOWN IF YOU WIN IT!
