I purchased this XJS four years ago and have driven it steadily. It had one owner at 22,700 miles at purchase, and I have driven it another 20,500 miles in four+ years. It has been remarkably reliable, a real mensch of a car (of course it was $62,000 new in 1995 dollars). Handles beautifully. Started throughout winter and handled snow and ice with aplomb. Tires new at purchase so now with 22,000 mi. Six cylinder gets about 13mpg city and 22 mpg country, premium gas. Convertible top, just replaced motor. Also just replaced battery. The car has no other known mechanical issues. Maintenance was routine and regular. Car has some very minor dings here and there: paint chips on rear fender, could easily be repaired, and some minor discoloration of rear leather seats, probably can be scrubbed clean, and a little discoloration in the back part of the retractable ceiling, which probably cannot be cleaned. Otherwise it is looking good and running like new. A honey of a car. Selling only because I must have a larger car for family.
