1 9 8 1 C O R V E T T E T R U E S U R V I V O R One of the final cars Manufactured in St. Louis, Missouri Owners: Dennis and Marla Holste, Boise Idaho We are the third owner of this car. It was purchased for show in 1981 from a Chevrolet dealership in Ellensburg, WA and according to Car Fax was not licensed until 1996. We purchased the car in June 2005 from Phil Forney in Portland, OR with 30,768 miles. We have put 5000 miles on the car in 7 years. This car is a true survivor and as far as we can tell it is totally original except for the catalytic converter which was replaced after GM recalled it. There were two converters instead of one. This Corvette still has all the original labels and markings. The paint is perfect and it still smells new on the inside. Most of these cars had leather interior but this one has a special cloth interior that was only put in 316 cars. It is a four speed car with all the options except electric mirror adjustments on the console. I also have the build sheet and pictures of the car coming off the St. Louis production line, along with the assembly manual that followed it down the line. At a few car shows people often would dispute the fact that it originally had cloth interior but the build sheet tells no lies. It is truly a unique 81 Corvette and one in this condition is hard to fine. Phil had Dennis Rausch collector car appraiser appraise the car before I purchased it just to make sure it was as it appears to be. In most cases cars look better in pictures but this car looks better in person. It is truly a beautiful ‘81 Vette and it is truly one of a kind. As their financial advisor, I offered to list their prized car on Ebay. Retired, they are traveling with little time to enjoy their car. I suggested they list it nationally, rather than just locally. Both were flawless, friendly, and simple purchases for the buyers. My goal is to help an interested buyer to purchase this Corvette, while helping my clients. The Details: $750 Refundable Deposit upon auction close via wire or paypal. If upon inspection of the car by the purchaser, the car is not as described, a refund of your deposit will be provided and the sale will be cancelled. We are happy to pick up at the Boise, Idaho airport, or bring the car to the airport for inspection. The Holste's are easy to work with and negotiation of final pickup or shipping timeline is available with payment. The car is stored in their heated garage. All transactions will be direct with the seller. Wiring of funds will be the most efficient, directly to the Holste's; however, cashiers check with time to clear will be honored as well. I've personally seen the car and am very comfortable representing the car with my feedback ratings. I'm confident the buyer will not be disappointed in the condition. The car truly shows even better in person....many times the pictures hide what the eye will find upon inspection. This is not the case here.
