Vehicle Detail
***If you recognize this re-listing, it is due to the fact that unfortunately a fraudulent bidder had the winning bid in the previous auction. Serious inquiries only please, folks! Thank you! My mom is the original owner of this beautiful 1965 Triumph Herald Convertible and has finally decided to part with it in hopes that someone can get her back out on the road where she belongs. She purchased the car in 1965, and the original exterior color was British Racing Green with a white convertible top and white interior. She had the car painted it's present color Royal Blue in 1987, and also had the interior completed reupholstered at that time in a beautiful camel color. Seat belts were also installed in the front seats and the top was changed to navy blue at that time as well. Both interior and exterior are in fabulous condition, although they could use a good cleaning due to being garaged for a long time. There is a very small patch of rust on a small dent on the back end of the car, and this can be seen in the last photo that I've posted. Other than this the vehicle is free of any significant rusting. The car has a clear title and has never been in an accident. The convertible top is free of tears or holes, and was in excellent condition at the time the car stopped running. It has become rather dry and would need conditioning to soften it and for that reason it has not been put down in many years. However, at the time the car began to stay in the garage, it was in excellent condition. The car has been garaged for around 15 years and has not run during that time. My mom's local mechanic, who did not specialize in foreign motors, was having a lot of difficulty finding the parts to repair it. The original repairs that the car needed at the time it started to stay in the garage were clutch and tires, although it will obviously now need more work typical of cars that do not run for long periods of time, such as gas tank, hoses, etc. Please let me know if you need additional photos. It was challenging to photograph the car, especially the right side, due to the fact that it is confined to the garage. However I have lots of additional photos if needed. My mom has the original manuals that came with the car, and those will obviously stay with the car when sold. Thanks for your interest! Don't hesitate to contact me if additional info is needed. You can also send me your phone number if you prefer to speak by phone, and I'll give you a ring. Thanks for looking. Cheers!
