Careful to not let this 1976 jewel get away as they are hard to find in this MOSTLY ORIGINAL / COMPLETE / NICE condition ! It still retains its ORIGINAL - OPTIONAL - PENTHOUSE Top which is the larger top with an upper bed mounted in it and the original canvas sides are all in GREAT shape for being ORIGINAL however the bug screens on the sides have some holes but that's a pretty easy fix if you want to fix them. I have read that the Penthouse top is the most desirable in the campmobile and I can see why as it adds lots more room to the camper area. It also still retains its various correctly mounted VW factory data plates also shown in several pictures below. What a value it is at the reserve price which is set very low ! Take a look at the lines on this beauty, what an amazing looking Bus. This BEAUTY is one nice driving rig and is sound and in AWESOME shape.This Volkswagon Campmobile has a 1600 CC - "flat four" - air cooled - four cylinder motor in it and it is running well !! The engine is backed by a good four speed transmission / transaxle. The MOSTLY ORIGINAL interior is in NICE condition including NICE ORIGINAL Off White bucket seats up front, NICE ORIGINAL Black dash, ORIGINAL Black rubber floor mat up front, NICE ORIGINAL White headliner and sunvisors, NICE ORIGINAL door panels, NICE ORIGINAL gauge cluster's, NICE removable wood cupholder / table and a NICE ORIGINAL steering wheel. The mostly ORIGINAL rear / Camper part of the interior is also in GREAT condition including a NICE ORIGINAL small fold out table conected to the ice box, NICE ORIGINAL larger table with fold down legs, extra rear ceiling storage compartment, NICE ORIGINAL stainless steel sink, NICE ORIGINAL pump faucet for sink, NICE ORIGINAL large fresh water holding tank under sink, VERY NICE rear seat / bed, NICE upper bed in Penthouse top, lots of factory storage areas and closets, sliding side windows with bug screens for ventilation, NICE ORIGINAL wall paneling and vinyl padding and Good sliding cloth curtains throughout. This Classic VW is nicely equipped including an awesome AM FM stereo radio / CD player / MP3 with two speakers mounted in doors up front and two speakers mounted in back, working turn signals so it is legal in all the states, good heater and defroster, factory rear window defroster, This VW Transporter is a great running and good looking Bus for sure. It drives smooth and straight and does not wonder like most vans of this vintage. I took it out on the freeway several times and it also did well at modern freeway speeds, WHAT A PLEASURE TO DRIVE !! All of the ORIGINAL light lenses and reflectors are still bright, clear and in good condition even the factory rubber weatherstripping is still in good condition. These vehicles have an appreciative group of owners any of which would be pleased to own this one. The suspension and drive line seem to be in good working order as well as the electrical system. The title states the mileage at 160K but like most VW's, its probably closer to 260 or 360K. This Classic Volkswagon Transporter Campmobile Bus is a great investment opportunity and it is priced right ! It is in good condition from top to bottom and from front to back. It will not disappoint someone looking for a clean example of a sought after and hard to find VW collector bus which is not seen at every stop light for sure. If you have been looking but can not find a sharp Classic VW Camper worthy of your hard earned money look NO further because this is the one ! The Blue exterior finish on this Bus is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL with really little to no wear showing and is still bright, shiny and looks GREAT as you can clearly see in the picture above and THE ADDITIONAL PICTURES BELOW !! WOW, Blue exterior with a NICE mostly ORIGINAL Campmobile interior with a FULL PENTHOUSE TOP, could it get any better !! Check out the ORIGINAL Chrome VW hubcaps with new radial tires. This vehicle is in nice mechanical condition and it runs and drives very well. It is solid with respect to the overall mechanical condition as well as the overall cosmetic impression.
