There is clear coat peal on the hood, roof, trunk lid, left and right top quarter panels. A good body shop can correct the clear coat with sanding, buffering, and re-spray. I have posted more photos at bottom of page and have given the best description about this vehicle possible. This 1998 Pontiac Sunfire runs and drives exceptionally well. This Sunfire is relatively clean, despite the clear coat peal. I'm 100% confident that this Sunfire will take you anywhere you want to go with no problems. You can drive home if you like. Sunfire is in excellent running and driving condition. Body: The body is overall in decent condition but not perfect. All glass on this Sunfire is good, free of cracks. The exterior mirrors are good. The driver door has some wind draft at 50+ mph. The headlights, turn signals, markers, brake lights, backup lights, and hazard flashers are all in good cosmetic and 100% working condition. The paint is in overall good condition, but has clear coat damage as explained above. Drive Train & Handling: This Sunfire has a fuel injected 2.2L four cylinder engine. The engine runs very well and has no ticks, knocks, or smoke, and no leaks. The Sunfire reads 181,441 miles. The engine is clean. The A/C system does blow cold. The interior heat is good. Computer diagnostics has been performed on this Sunfire to ensure all engine sensors are in working order. No illuminated check engine light is on. The 5-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly in all gears with no noise and no leaks. The clutch has been checked an is confirmed to be in very good condition. The ABS brake system has been checked for front pad and disk wear, rear shoes and drum wear, and the ABS system has been checked for proper function. Pads and disk rotors are in very good condition. Rear brake shoes and drums are in good condition. The brakes are in excellent operating condition. The power steering system is in excellent operational condition. Smooth easy turning in tight spots. The Sunfire again, drives and handles very well on the road. This Sunfire has excellent acceleration and stopping power. Interior: This Sunfire interior very decent. The carpet is relatively clean but has some signs of wear and some stains on the driver side. The carpet and seats has been thoroughly vacuumed. The headliner, interior trim, are in very good cosmetic condition. The dash is good condition. The dash cover is in very good condition. All gauge lights and gauges are in working condition. The sun visors are good. This Sunfire is equipped with working A/C. Has good interior heat, driver side air bag, interval wipers, factory AM/FM stereo CD player (the CD Player has an error code and does not work, but the stereo plays all radio stations) The volume control on the stereo works but you have to go several turns to turn it up or down. It also has power steering, power brakes, tilt steering wheel, sunroof, and rear window defroster. The trunk area is very decent. Tires/Wheels: This Sunfire has the factory 15" alloy wheels. The tires are in very good condition with about 50% tread on the tires. The factory spare tire, jack, and lug wrench are securely in its compartment in the trunk area. The Sunfire has a clean clear NC title. The Sunfire has not been inspected but I'm confident it will pass. Ready to drive. I would highly recommend this vehicle as an excellent starter vehicle for a teen driver, temporary/backup transportation, or commuter for work and back.
