1998 Toyota Camy with only approximately 59,790 miles. This was my 83 year old fathers car. He purchased it new in 1998. He recently decided to buy a new car so he gave it to me. I don't really need it and my wife wants it out of the driveway so I'm selling it. I have driven it for a few hundred miles since he gave it to me. It drives straight and true. The engine has good acceleration and the transmission shifts smoothly. The body is in pretty good shape. One small crease (a couple of inches long), a few scrapes, and a few nicks in the paint here and there. I think it looks pretty darn good overall. The tires have a good amount of tread left also. The interior is in pretty good condition also. There are two issues that I am aware of. The first is that the ABS light is on. Maybe a bad sensor...or could be something else...I don't know. Also, when it hasn't been driven for a few weeks, if you turn the wheel in either direction until it completely stops, the power steering makes a squealing sound. It only happens when the car is not being driven regularly. Perhaps some type of seal in the power steering is drying out when it's not used regularly...I don't know for sure. It only happens when we let the car sit for a few weeks at a time but the sound doesn't happen if we drive it for a day or two. The car passed NJ State Inspection about a month ago. I highly recommend you come and see the car in person before you bid. I am selling the car AS IS so you should thoroughly check it out yourself before you bid in case I missed something.
