1940 OLDS Sedan 2dr NO RESERVE! $2600.00 WILL TAKE IT Have most chrome and interior peices for body. Factory Gauges were rebuilt 25 years ago and should still be functional if desired. Car is set on a early 70's Nova Subframe; the car was fitted with a SBC and 350 turbo transmission. (thats whats in it for mounts) (car is being sold as a roller with no motor or trans) The car is farely rare, around 500 were ever made. Have only seen one car like this that was finished at a car show...so you will definitely have a unique ride. The body does have a nice stance especially when the front nose peice is attached. Project was started 30 years ago and was never got very far. It has been garage stored at a freinds place the last 10 years. Body is in typical shape for its age, workable though. I'm selling the car for my dad to make room for a drag car. I believe he is just sick of finding places to store the car. CAR HAS A SPACIOUS BACKSEAT AREA. THE CAR DOES HAVE A "RED" TITLE. ALL THE GLASS IS OK EXCEPT FOR THE DRIVERS DOOR HAS A CRACK. IT IS ALL AGED THOUGH AND COULD STAND TO BE REPLACED DEPENDING ON YOUR RESTORATION STANDARDS. THE BODY IS SOLID... NO RUST REPAIR REQUIRED. THE CHASSIS WAS FRAME OFF RESTORED 25 YEARS AGO AND NEVER DRIVEN. BRAKES AND ALL FRONT END COMPONENTS ARE ESSENTIALLY FRESH. HAS 442 OLDS REAR END. GEAR RATIO UNKNOWN. I guess back in Iowa in the 1970s if a car sat for an extended period of time without being registered it would get a red title...basically the car would have to be inspected by the Iowa DOT before it could be registered. They have done away with the process in Iowa. The title is still in the name of the previous owner from 30 years ago and was never transferred into my dads name. So basically, you will have to contact your DOT to see what you need to do for plates on the beast. Shouldnt be a big deal...most cars like that dont even have the original titles so its actually a plus that he has it.
