Vehicle Detail

This is a rare chance to buy an engine-swapped car for less than the cost of the conversion, without all the hard work! I've spent the past year and a half working on this car, I've got it running and finished, and I've lost interest in it. So my loss is your gain as they say. So, how does it run? Well, it is extremely fast, light, nimble, loud, and raw, as it should be. It scares little old women, and turns heads everywhere as people give me confused looks. It's a fun toy! I've had it out on the road a little bit, but it hasn't seen too much use as I just don't have time for it. I've been working on the car for a year and a half, and for the last several months sorting all the issues, and quite frankly I'm burnt out on it and car projects in general. I have lost interest in it and don't have a lot of time to play with it anymore. Converted to plastic bumpers front and rear, IS valance Converted to ellipsoid headlights and aftermarket taillights Trunk floor, sunroof were cut out to save weight. No carpet, but I have lined the front of the car with Dynamat Corbeau seats with double locking Corbeau sliders The sunroof was tack welded back in and gaps sealed with seam sealer The rear end is a 2.93 limited slip but I will also include a 3.73 limited slip rear end I will include boxes of interior parts and misc. extra parts and spares. Suspension: Brand new Kosei 15x7 wheels and Dunlop Direzza Star Spec tires. (maybe 20 miles on wheels and tires total) Treehouse Racing Eyeball racing control arms Massive Brakes manual brakes conversion E36 steering rack swap Front springs/struts are stock 325is Rear springs are Vogtland lowering and KYB shocks Brake rotors and pads are all stock and relatively new I aligned the front toe-in to 1/8" inch Engine: 5.0 Ford from 1997 Mercury Mounaineer with approx. 110k miles Stock GT40P heads, Explorer (GT40) intake, 65mm throttle body Stock Mustang HO cam from 1992 Mustang GT The engine is running on Mass Air EFI from a 1992 Mustang GT The engine should be producing 260-280 rwhp and over 300 ft-lb of torque New parts: crankshaft, main bearings, rod bearings, and new harmonic balancer, timing chain, gaskets, starter, water pump, oil pump, fuel injector O-rings, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, EGR spacer, EGR solenoid, flywheel, clutch, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, thermostat, radiator, all hoses, distributor cap, rotor, wires, plugs, miscellanous seals, hoses, and gaskets are new all over, etc. The exhaust is a single 3" with Magnaflow Hi Flow Cat and Magnaflow muffler. The headers are BBK shorty Mustang headers K&N filter The transmission is a Tremec 1350 5 speed with a new seal installed in the rear. The transmission is in good shape but grinds a little bit when shifting to 3rd. The radiator is a large 3 row aluminum unit from Summit, fan is a mechanical 15" flex fan, custom aluminum fan shroud. The alternator is a 3G Explorer unit Motor mounts, oilpan, transmission mount are all custom The driveshaft is custom brand new The clutch is operated via Wilwood pedal, master cylinder, and pull slave Things that still need work: The windshields need lockstrips installed so they don't leak. The passenger side header has an exhaust leak and bumps the firewall sometimes. The interior is not completely assembled. I have a boatload of interior parts that go with the car if you like. The HVAC unit is all there but not connected. You will need to install an aftermarket tach. There seems to be an occasional oil leak from the rear of the engine, how I'm not sure since I installed a new oilpan gasket and rear main seal. The trunk floor has been cut out for drifting. There's currently a piece of plywood but it probably needs a sheet of aluminum cut and fastened down. There is a small current drain which drains the battery over time. The alternator is charging correctly to 14 volts. You'll have to find what is draining the current or maybe frequent driving will keep it from draining too much. If you wanted to make a track/drift car, it's a perfect starting point. If you want a daily driver it just needs some TLC and finishing touches. Car comes with a second set of wheels/tires which are from a Miata. They fit but need spacers and aren't hubcentric.
