1966OLDSMOBILE TORONADO Motor Trend Magazine's 1966 Car of the Year! This car was purchased about 5 years ago from a man in Huntington Beach,California. He did the following, just prior to our purchase: • Rebuilt 455 ci Engine. (about 4Kmiles on the engine since rebuilt) • Rebuilt Transmission. • Painted car the original color -- Silver Mist. • Re-chromed bumpers. • NOS interior upholstery and head liner. • New fuel lines. • All new vacuum lines (there are a lot of them on a Toronado!)• Newfront Bearings (expensive) and Ball Joints. • New stereo and speakers. Has an input Jack for an MP3 Player/Cell Phone Speaker Output. I have done the following: • Vacuum headlight actuators rebuilt • New factory correct exhaust system, complete from manifolds to exhaust tips. • New White Wall Tires • Complete detail of engine bay. Had a professional do the Sanding, Blasting,Painting, etc. all of the sheet metal pieces under the hood. Too many items to note here. • New fuel pump and NOS fuel line from pump to carburetor. • Restored carburetor by "Sparky." Sparky is known in the Toro circlefor his work. • Replaced the CV Shafts -- both sides. • Radiator support rubber. • Under hood rubber. • Under hood fender bolts. • Complete detail of the trunk. Found NOS trunk lining material. Restored tirejack assembly, Installed correct mercury switch-operated trunk light assembly. • Repaired the A/C system: New Compressor, NOS AC lines, New STV, NewCondenser, New Dryer. Blows Cold. • Replaced all components of the Brake system, except the metal portion of thebrake lines (i.e. replaced all rubber lines, master cylinder, power booster,wheel cylinders, drums, shoes, springs, bits & pieces). • Replaced power seat motor and switches • New horn relay • New AC blower relay • Replaced the rear wire harness (to the tail lights) • New carpet • New sill plates ("Body by Fisher") • New flex chrome on strato seat bases and backs. Have a file full of receipts. We drive this car all over town and it's a real blast - turns heads of all ages!
