Beautiful 1995 Mercury Cougar XR7. Only 92k miles. Rare White with Green Leather/Cloth Interior. Newer Tires and Brakes. Full exhaust system was also replaced fairly recently. Transmission has been serviced. Oil changed regularly and was recently done. Very NICE car! Very dependable, reliable car. It has the 3.8 V6 with Automatic Transmission that shifts very smoothly! Maint. records are available. Hard to find in this good of condition! I am the 3rd owner. The Cougar was owned for a long time by an elderly woman in Lebanon, IN. There is almost NO wear on the interior. Seats, carpet, and headliner all look excellent! The exterior is also VERY nice! Paint still shines great! Has 1 minor shallow dent on right quarter panel that is hardly noticeable. NO RUST! The car runs and drives great. There is a front end suspension rattle over bumps, I had my mechanic check it out and it will need front upper ball joints replaced soon. Also this week the odometer stopped working...I think it's gear stopped working after I reset the tripometer when filling up with gas. I have the autocheck for the vehicle showing that miles are not far off of the 92338 that it is showing, I have only driven it about 55 miles since then and will only be driving it about 30 more miles during the auction. Apparently this was a common issue on these Cougars and Thunderbirds, the gear controlling the odometer was a weak point. You can tell by looking at the car the miles are true, actually it looks like a lot less than 92k miles. The upgraded/stronger gear is sold online for $20 to make everything work properly again or there is a company that you can send the gauge to and they will replace the gear for $130. Everything else on the car is great! Overall this is an excellent, well maintained car. It's owners have all taken very good care of it and it is in BEAUTIFUL condition. All windows, mirrors, radio, cruise, climate control...All work as they should. This is the 3rd 95-97 Thunderbird/Cougar that I've owned. They are great cars...comfortable, reliable, good mpg, fun!
