My first winning bidder was a scam from the U.K. By the time I got things straightened out with ebay the second highest bidder had already bought another car. So I am re-listing again. Do not bid if you have 0 feedback, call me first. Great car to restore. This car is a rare find. I also know where another complete 55 mercury 2 door hard top is with everything except radio that can be bought seprately. My dad bought this car in 1961, took motor out and put it in another car until that motor could be overhauled. Motor was never reinstalled. The motor I have my mechanic said is not the motor for this car and that it cannot be rebuilt. So the car comes with no engine. Car needs total restoration. Needs floor pans. I can find no rust in trunk area. Drivers front fender has a small rust hole. Frame looks good. Has factory automatic and power steering. Convertible top looks to be complete. Missing radio, hood, and part of front bumper. Shipping is not included and transportation of the car is the winning bidders responsibility. I do have the original title. On Oct-30-12 at 16:36:30 PDT, seller added the following information: Hope to answer some questions. The floor braces for the floor pans look good from what I can see. Have not had car up on a lift. Passenger side lower trim is missing. There is another rust spot on right side rocker the size of a half dollar coin. The car is now up to date on the tag through oct 2013. Do not know how acurate that is but I do know they are very rare.On Nov-21-12 at 14:49:09 PST, seller added the following information: After looking at the rust hole on the rocker I said was the size of a half dollar, it looks more like 2 half dollars so I took extra pics. Anyone who has restored cars knows you nearly always find more rust during the restoration. If you have any other questions I will try to answer.
