UP FOR AUCTION IS A BEAUTIFUL 1970 PLYMOUTH ROAD RUNNER. THIS IS A REAL RM23 ROAD RUNNER THAT HAS HAD A HIGH DOLLAR ROTISSERIE RESTORATION DONE TO BETTER THAN NEW. EVERYTHING ON THIS CAR HAS BEEN RESTORED OR REPLACED. TO START WITH THE CAR WAS CHEMICALLY STRIPPED AND THE ONLY EVIDENCE OF RUST WAS A LITTLE IN EACH REAR QUARTER PANEL AND THE TRUNK PAN. THE QUARTERS AND THE TRUNK PAN WERE REPLACED WITH NEW PANELS THEN THE ENTIRE CAR WAS ETCH PRIMED, BLOCKED, NUMEROUS TIMES, THEN PRIMED AGAIN, BLOCKED AGAIN, THEN SEVERAL COATS OF PPG B-5 BLUE BASE CLEAR WERE APPLIED THEN BUFFED TO A MIRROR SHINE. THE PAINT ON THIS CAR IS ONE OF THE BEST JOBS I HAVE SEEN. THE CAR IS AS STRAIGHT AS A STRING IN MY OPINION THE B-5 BLUE IS THE BEST COLOR ON A ROAD RUNNER. THIS IS A TRUE B-5 BLUE CAR WITH BLUE INTERIOR. THE ENGINE IS DATE CORRECT TO THE CAR AND WAS REBUILT TO STOCK SPECIFICATIONS. THIS TO MY KNOWLEDGE IS THE ORIGINAL ENGINE TO THIS CAR BUT I AM NOT A MOPAR EXPERT, I DO KNOW FROM THE CASTING NUMBER THAT THE DATE IS RIGHT AND IT IS A REAL 383. THE TRANSMISSION IS THE 727, 83/4 REAR END WITH 355 GEARS AND POSITIVE TRACTION, THEY TOO HAVE BEEN REBUILT AND THE ENTIRE DRIVETRAIN PERFORMS FLAWLESSLY AND LIKE NEW, NO ISSUES WHAT SO EVER, THE EXHAUST SYSTEM HAS BEEN PROFESSIONALLY DONE WITH THE CORRECT MUFFLERS AND CORRECT EXHAUST TIPS, CAR SOUNDS GOOD NOTHING TOO LOUD JUST THE RIGHT MUSCLE CAR SOUND. THE FRONT END WAS COMPLETELY REBUILT INCLUDING NEW STEERING BOX. EVERYTHING WAS PAINTED APART AND IN THE CORRECT APPLICATION AND THE CAR DRIVES LIKE A NEW ONE. THE UNDERNEATH OF THE CAR IS A WORK OF ART, IT IS PAINTED THE SAME COLOR AS THE BODY, AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURES. ALL FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSION PARTS ARE PAINTED IN THE CORRECT APPLICATION IT IS TRULY AMAZING HOW WELL THIS CAR WAS DONE AND HOW GOOD IT LOOKS. THE RESTORATION ON THIS CAR EXCEEDED 80K NOT COUNTING THE COST OF THE CAR. THE INTERIOR IS ALL NEW AND SMELLS LIKE A NEW CAR. ALL PARTS ON THE CAR REASSEMBLED WITH NEW HARDWARE AFTER BEING PAINTED SO NO PAINT ON BOLTS FOR VERY CLEAN APPEARANCE. THIS CAR HAS THE FACTORY GAUGE PACKAGE AND ALL HAVE BEEN RESTORED AS WELL AND WORK LIKE THEY SHOULD. LIGHTS AND SIGNALS AND EVEN THE BEEP BEEP HORN HAVE BEEN RESTORED TOO NEW AND ALL WORK LIKE THEY SHOULD. THERE IS NOT ONE BLEMISH, SCRATCH, DING, CHIP ECT. ON THIS CAR. IT HAS BEEN KEPT IN A CLIMATE CONTROLLED GARAGE SINCE RESTORATION.RESTORATION WAS DONE IN 2007. THE CAR HAS NEVER BEEN WET. JUST A FEW SPRINKLES RECENTLY AT A JACK ROUSH CAR SHOW WHICH IT TOOK BEST MOPAR, I EVEN BEAT A LOCAL HIGH END MOPAR COLLECTOR WHICH WAS VERY PLEASING TO ME. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST ROAD RUNNER'S YOU WILL FIND IN THE COUNTRY. YOU WILL NOTICE IN THE PICTURES THE CAR SHOWS TWO DIFFERENT SETS OF WHEELS AND TIRES, THE MOPAR SET HAVE BEEN RESTORED TO NEW AND THE 18'' COYS ARE NEW AS WELL.BOTH SETS HAVE BRAND NEW RUBBER ON THEM AND THE BUYER CAN CHOOSE WHICH SET YOU WOULD RATHER HAVE. I LIKE THE ORIGINAL LOOK BUT THOSE CHROME COYS REALLY BRING OUT THE B-5 BLUE IN THE SUNLIGHT, IT LOOKS AMAZING. THIS IS TRULY AND INVESTMENT GRADE CAR AND THERE ARE NO DISAPPOINTMENTS WITH THIS ONE. ONCE AGAIN, THE ONLY SHEET METAL REPLACED WAS THE REAR QUARTERS AND TRUNK PAN, THE REST OF THE SHEET METAL IS ORIGINAL TO THE CAR, NO PATCHES OR BONDO ANYWHERE ON THIS CAR, ONLY THE BEST CRAFTSMANSHIP AND IT SHOWS AS ONE OF THE FINEST RESTORATIONS I HAVE SEEN.
