For Sale is My 1985 Dodge ram 50 Turbo Diesel truck I have owned this truck for about a year and a half now and had a child so I bought a 4 door I really wanted to keep the truck for its fuel mileage but new car payments are expensive. It runs great, it will do 70 on the interstate it is a 5 speed and the 4WD works great the transmission gets a little sticky sometimes so i think the syncros in 3rd and 4th are going bad. The automatic glow plugs werent working when I bought it so I installed a push button manual glowplugs. Bed is in great shape and I patched the floorboards best I could with Sheet metal and fiberglassed over top to seal it up. This doesnt look pretty but can easily be covered up with a floor mat. I daily drove this truck for about a year and through all the old squeaks and groans of this old truck it never missed a beat and I drove 50 to 60 miles a day with it. It has a current VA inspection. Brakes are fair and tires are OK could probably need replacing in a couple months. THIS TRUCK IS NOT PERFECT BY ANY MEANS! it is old but its been a good truck to me. The drivetrain is the selling point in this truck it is perfect for any swap of any kind It is running the 4d56 MITSUBISHI TURBO DIESEL. The engine is mechanically sound but has a little oil leak, the turbos silencer ring has been taken out so it has a very loud and cool turbo whistle. The turbocharger works fine but needs to be rebuilt at some point it leaks oil but rebuild kits online are pretty cheap if you have the know how to do it or you can buy another one, small turbos are pretty cheap.
