1966 Chevy C-10, Custom Cab, short bed, fleetside truck. Its got a lot of great character and 46 years in the making patina. As far as I can tell this is a completely original truck. The only thing I have seen that is not original to the truck are the valve covers (the originals were in the bed, but a guy gave me $50.00 for them so their gone). Truck is a rare factory 283 small block with automatic transmission. After finding it on a weekend country ride and talking the owner into selling we poured some gas in the carb, jumped it off and it cranked. We put some air in the tires and I drove it home! I would not say it is ready for a long drive by any means, but it made the 10 or so miles drive home ok for me and actually ran very well. No knocks or anything in the motor and it never died on me. The automatic transmission may need fluid change or some maintenance because I had to shift from low to high by hand and then it was slow. Reverse works perfectly. All lights and dash gages and other electrical equipment appeared to function correctly (even the original horn). Windshield shows age haze and rubber is starting to come off. Dash is in perfect shape with zero cuts / holes other than originals. Tires are not in great shape, but hold air so far. Truck has its share of 46 year old surface rust, rust holes however that’s what gives this truck a real cool look (Patina), as the pictures show there is rust in the rockers, fenders, tailgate, bedsides, floor and other places. There is nothing hidden due to any previous body work (body is really pretty straight) as this truck sports its original green and white paint. Don’t be fooled by a few holes and the surface rust this is a really solid truck that has a really nice cab along with pretty solid floor pans and a good solid frame (see pics). Paypal deposit of $500 due within three days of auctions end. I will hold the truck for a couple of weeks if needed and will help as much as I can with getting the truck to you, but that is ultimately the buyer responsibility. Message me with any questions.
