Vehicle Detail

My mom is the original owner of this 1965 Triumph Herald, and has finally decided to part with it. She purchased it new in 1965 and it's original color was British Racing Green with a white convertible top and white interior. She had it repainted in 1987 and its current color as you can see in the photos is Royal Blue. She also replaced the convertible top at that time with a navy top, interior was completely reupholstered in a beautiful camel color, and seat belts were added for the front seats. The interior and exterior are both in excellent condition. Both interior and exterior could use a really good cleaning due to the length of time the car has been garaged, but both interior and paint job remain in fabulous condition. The convertible top has become dry over time and needs to be conditioned to soften it, and for this reason we have not put the top down in quite some time, however when the car was running the top was in great condition free of tears or holes. The car itself is free from any significant rusting. It does have a small dent on the back end of the car, where a small amount of rusting has occurred, and this can be seen in the last photo. The car has been garaged for approximately 15 years and has not run during that time. It was originally garaged because it needed a new clutch and new tires and my mom's local mechanic shop did not specialize in foreign vehicles and was having difficulty locating the Triumph parts at that time. Now that it has been sitting for so long it will surely need additional repairs typical of cars that do not run for long periods of time such as a new gas tank, hoses, etc. I imagine Triumph parts are a lot easier to find now than 20 years ago. It was a little challenging to photograph the vehicle since the car is confined to the garage, especially the right side which is closest to the garage wall. If you need additional photos, please let me know as I have many more. The car has a clear title and has never been in an accident. My mom has been the sole owner of the vehicle and it has only around 47K miles on it. It's a wonderful car and we hope that someone is able to give it the TLC to get it running again and back out on the road. Please contact me for any additional details you may need. You may also send me your phone number if you prefer to speak by phone. Thanks for your interest!
