Vehicle Detail
Hey everyone! I have a 1966 Ford Fairlane Hardtop GTA ( S Code ) up available for grabs. We got this nice rare 66' GTA ( not many of them came out in GTA and S code ) in a little while ago. We plan to build it into Pro Touring because this is perfect car to build one given its rarity and being comfortable to ride in for long time periods. However, we just came across a really nice barn finding 3 window Model A that is waiting for me so I'm downsize some toys in order to bring it home. Fairlane was built in Atlanta, GA in middle of early spring of 1965 and sold in 1966. I believe the original color was Green or somewhere along these line and I'm still trying to confirm this with all tag numbers that is on the car. The older owner decide to paint the car black after the car was peeling and the color wasnt appeal ... during that time the owner did some work on quarter panels to remove all bubble rust. After that car was painted black and all rust is gone. I've noticed some rust bubbles came up now on Hood area w/ few ding here and there but overall in good condition. This Fairlane had lot work done prior to me about 6 months ago on whole drivetrain and undercarriage as far as rear, bars, etc. Drivetrain been rebuild and bored along with tons of parts being new or rebuilt. I'm going to try list everything here ... the car will come with folder full of information that's been written down along with receipts of parts and work that been done to it. The car overall - I will rate it out 7 out of 10 easy give or take. Here's break down why I would rate it 7 ... - Paint is not show paint ... its good 5 - 10 footer paint and its nice paint as a cruiser car so just sand it a little bit and respray or so - Interior is all leather seats however driver seat have tears and can use recovery along with some parts that need good cleaning to be shiny again- Drivetrain runs good like rage bitchin however it will be amazing with right and good tune up Here's most of information that I have on work that was done to drivetrain ... - Crowder Cam Grind FPD- 568 Lift 298 Duration- Lifter adj 22 Intake- 24 Exhaust- 10.0 to 1 Compression- .40 Over- Crank 10-20 Crank- Replaced Heater Hoses - New Cable Starter to Solenoid - New Brake Line Rear- New Rear Hoses- New Lines from Front to Rear- New Hoses - New Wheel Cylinders- Flushed and Pack Bearings - Bleed & System Tested- Left and Right Front Steel Lines- New MSD Ignition- Rear End Rebuild- New U Joints - Carb rebuild - New Tink Pin Bushings- New Sway Bar Bushings- All New Seals- 3500 Stall- New Battery Shut Down Switch- New Electric Fuel Pump- New Fuel Regulator - New ACC 26032 ACC 10" Torque converter Drivetrain is beast. Have a little bit hard time to start it up in cold weather but after it get warm up then its ready for all day given its siting outside now not inside garage. I just drove it to Ocean City, MD and back round trip + a round trip to Charles Town, WV without any problem or so.The worst part of whole car as far as body goes is the hood have a dent on it ( look at picture ) and one paint peeling on top of roof which is being covered with black primer now. Have some area that showing rust bubbles so that why I mention it need paint. Want to be clear on this so nothing is hidden. This car is what we would consider a average retail as stated on nada guides ... the vehicle would be in good condition overall. It could be an older restoration or a well maintaned original vehicle. Complete operable . The exterior paint, trim and mechanics are presentable and serviceable inside and out. A " 20 footer". With that being said ... it have average retail of $18,415 and being a $24,505 in high retail value which means near mint or mint condition. So with all that information and considering that I'm ready to move into next car ... I'm listing this car with reserve price that is VERY fair and BELOW the average retail. This way you get chance to grab a nice Muscle Car for good price and have fun with it. I have Clear Virginia Title ready for owner to sign their name on it and take the car home. I am not taking in or considering any kind of trades at all. Its just up for sale. Be sure to look at pictures and read whole information so you don't overlook something. If you have any questions - please don't hesitate to ask and I will get back to you as soon as I can thru eBay. Thanks!
