Un-restored original survivor - factory black - one family owned since new ! If you are looking to restore a correct 50's era Chevrolet you just found it. If you are looking to built the ultimate "street sleeper" you just found it. Either way this is one really solid foundation. Currently the drivetrain is 216 cu. in. engine with 3 -- speed trans. The engine turns over freely. I have not spent any effort to make it run. Very minor rust is just began over the rear wheel wells & typical rust in panel below trunk lid -- that's it. The floor & trunk pans are 100% dry ! All rockers, inner & outer are dry ! Doors, trunk, hood all dry & close perfectly. Body lines on this 51' are excellent. Worst damage is passenger rear door. Other minor "dingers", but very easy repair. Stainless is all there & has been given hand polishing on the car. All glass is near perfect, no cracks or frosting plus the windows all operate easy. Steering wheel & dash are really nice. Interior is typical of this era. Headliner is all there but has water stains around rear glass area + a mouse hole (patania). Upper half of door panels show same staining effect. I removed the upper cloth material on front doors as they were nearly gone anyway. Seats had aftermarket covers from when new. Once removed the original material is intact but does have some staining and some "mouse holes" -- never fails. This 51' was a garage kept its whole life. Was liscened until 1991. That is 40 years of service it gave this family !!! Now you can own it and make it new again or ------ Hot Rod it ( pavement slammed. . .. thumpin' Big block. . .. Tremac 6-speed. . . Posi-trac. . . tinted windows. . . shaved door handles. . . crazy loud dual exhaust . . .Big disc brakes all around. . .. . . 18" & 20" wheel / tire combo. . .. . .. . .. . ..????? ) Things to Know. . .. Comes with original wheels, spare and hubcaps. Also includes factory fenderskirts. Wheels/tires on car shown in photos NOT included in auction. Clean title Currently 6-volt system All electrical wiring is unaltered and undisturbed Radio delete dash. I have sanded complete car down with 320 wet/dry paper -- ready to spray clear or use finer grit to prep for buffing or new coat of paint -- you decide !!! Low Reserve !!!
