Vehicle Detail

I want to start off by saying that I dont want to sell this car. I recently purchased the car after searching for one of these for the better part of the last 5 years. If you are a Trans Am guy, then you know about these cars and how expensive they can be if they are in good condition. I had been looking to buy whatever I ran into first, and thankfully I found this White 1981 Trans Am with only 44k miles on it. The car itself is solid. The paint while not trailer queen perfect is still original and its in great shape considering its 31 years old. There are two chips on the rear right quarter panel, nothing major. The engine is the 4.9 litre. It has torque and feels great on the highway. You can feel the pull between 35-60 mph. The car turns on like new and aside from a drop or two of oil, which I understand is normal for these cars, it is in excellent shape. That is because this car only has 44,000 miles on it. The main selling point is that it is a convertible. Many people on the street that ask to take photos with the car didn't even know these cars existed. Only a few hundred were sold by dealers from the major conversion companies. Only the Macho Trans Am is rarer. The interior of the car is in solid shape. It's not perfect, but it's in better condition than many much newer cars. I'll have the interior completely detailed and near perfect before I turn it over to the new owner. Also, the 8-track player is still intact! While it is installed, it is not currently connected to the speakers. There is a new radio hidden away for people to enjoy music along with brand new speakers. This car, as you can see from the photos, looks great with the top down. It gets attention from a ton of people ... and not the typical Poncho fan either. Many people my age who usually aren't into American Cars absolutely love this thing. Here in California, it's perfect for taking a cruise down to the beach. The white exterior is toned down for this car. It works very well with it; you wont be blending in with all the black Bandit clones running around. To the bidders, I thank you for taking a look at my Pontiac. Like I said in the beginning, I'm selling this car with a very heavy heart. As you know, the price of these Pontiacs aren't what they use to be. I have seen some auctions with asking prices near $100,000 with many more miles than this. This type of car, I have seen go for close to $30,000 in near perfect condition. I am not asking top dollar for the car, but I am not going to give it away either. I can also offer to buy back the car within four to five months if, for any reason, you no longer want it. As you can see, I don't want to sell this... Again, the Trans Am market is taking off. This is very rare bird and could double in value when the market turns.
