This truck was purchased new in Rockmart Georgia at D&F Chevrolet located at 217 west elm st, on July 16 1965, by Mr. C E Robinson aka "Chief" salesman was Mr Roy Bowman. Other than the truck being lowered, the door logos and the under dash mounted cd player, it is pretty much original. Truck did have one repaint in the 1980's in it's original shade of tan. Overall this is a very straight and solid truck, yes it does have some typical rust ( Minor ) and it does have a little filler in it, cab corners, front of the hood, and low fenders, all of which can be removed and replacement patch panels installed if you are wanting to restore the truck. Runs out and drives good 6 cyl 3 speed on the tree, Could use a tune up , Heater works great, needs a new blinker switch, driver side door glass is off track needs repaired, tires are decent but it could use a new set, a piece of thick metal is laid in the wooden bed, truck has never been butchered up , has never even had a trailer hitch installed, old spare still tucked underneath the bed, Truck gets a lot of attention , A rolling piece of History. Truck does not have a title but will come with a Georgia State Bill of Sale and a current Georgia Registration which you may use in your state to obtain a plate as Georgia is a non title state on pre 1985 vehicles Please ask all questions prior to auction end. Truck must be paid for in full within 7 days of auction end, afterwards you may have up to 30 days to arrange transport at no storage cost. Great truck to begin a restoration or leave the patina for the Shop Truck look, the surface rust on the passenger side rear fender has been sanded and primed since the photos were taken.
