Classic 70’s Muscle Car ALL ORIGINAL, NUMBERS MATCHING, ACTUAL MILAGE, 1973 Mercury Cougar XR7 Convertible with a 351 Cleveland Engine with Factory A/C. Last year of the Cougar Convertible! The body is straight with no known accidents. All gauges and power accessories work. This car has been well kept and maintained, would be great for a weekend cruiser, daily driver, or local car show!The car starts, no problems! Engine runs strong with no hesitation and a lot of power. The tranny shifts smoothly as if it just rolled off the dealership floor! Recent (June 2012) work includes: New battery, complete rebuild of the carburetor. New gas lines, fuel pump, sending unit (with connectors) and gas tank.The car does need some TLC. The known issues are: needs a new convertible top (glass back can be reused). The brakes and A/C need servicing. The A/C blows air but not cold.I’ve tried to describe the car and identify the issues known to the best of my ability. Please keep in mind this car is nearly 40 years old. It is NOT a showroom condition car; however, it is in excellent original condition for its age.I don’t have a lot of information on the car’s history. I purchased the vehicle from the previous owner 4 years ago. I don’t get a chance to drive the car as often as I’d like, so it’s time to pass it along to someone that will.
