Vehicle Detail
1951 Ford F-1 Pickup Truck. This is a neat old Barn Find. I am listing this for a friend. It has been his project for the past year. He found this truck a year ago, sitting in a barn. I don't know how much of it's life, this truck has spent in storage, but I think the 41,000 miles is accurate. This Truck has a clean and clear Ohio Title. The Truck has a coat of faded Blue Paint that appears to be old, but is probably a re-paint. I believe the original color to be Blue. The Truck and it's Paint have a worn and rusty look. It has the Patina and shop worn look every one is looking for in a Vintage F-1. The Body on this truck is good, not rust free or perfect. There are some dents and dings, and rust. The faded paint and dings add to the shop worn look. The Truck has an Oldsmobile V-8 Engine with 4 Barrel and 3 Speed Automatic Transmission. The Engine starts easily and runs and idles well. It has no exhaust beyond the manifolds, so it is quite loud. The Truck has a one wire GM Alternator so it charges the Battery with no problems. The Truck has Manual Steering and Manual Drum Brakes. It Starts, Stops, Runs and Shifts through the Gears very well. The Lights and Gauges are disconnected. There is a 12 Volt to 6 Volt converter on the Firewall, but the truck will need some wiring work for the gauges and lights to be functional. This truck is solid but has some rust. The Cab Floor is good. There is a Carpet on the Floor. The Dashboard is solid. The Original Seat looks nice looking and is in good condition. There is no Headliner. The Roof and Rear of Cab are good. The Doors are both good and close and latch. The Windshield is Good. The Driver's Door Glass is good. The Passenger Door Glass is cracked. The Rear window is good but a little foggy around the edges. The Running Boards must have had the usual rust in them. They have been patched with a piece of steel. The Front Fenders both look good. The Passenger side Fender has been replaced and is not exactly the color of the rest of the truck. The Hood has some rust on the sides, but has nice Stainless Steel Trim. The Grill is nice looking. The Rear Fenders are good but have rust, dings and scratches. The Bed of the Truck has a piece of Steel mounted in it. The Tail Gate is good, but has some rust on the bottom. The Tail Gate Chains are there and original. The Faded Paint on the truck is awesome and really makes this truck. The truck is sitting on a set of original 15" steel wheels and Vintage hub caps. The tires are Bias Ply Wide White Wall and are in good condition and really look good on this truck. This Truck drives and brakes and can be driven. With a little wiring work it could be a daily driver. It does not at this time have any Headlights, Tail Lights or Brake Lights, so it will need to be trailered or towed home. I may be able to assist with delivery, for a fee, within a few hundred miles of Canton, Ohio. I am posting good pictures and tried to give a good description of the truck. I will try to answer any questions through email. This truck sells without reserve to the highest bidder.
