I purchased this car back in the end of '06 and drove it to work for about a year, I loved this car right away for it's direct injected 2.0L and the dual clutch transmission with paddle shifter, the fact that it's excellent on gas was a bonus, if I had to approximate, i'd say it's about 21 mpg city and 30 something highway. When I ordered this, I ordered it loaded, I've searched the house for the window sticker, but to no avail. I do all basic maintenance to my vehicles, and changed the oil the first time at 1,000 miles to get rid of the metal fragments that normally occur when an engine first breaks in, The speed was kept under 60 mph during this time, the only oil I've used is Mobil 1 fully synthetic, the next oil change was done at 3,000 miles and every 3,000 miles after that, and only factory oil filters including factory air filters every 10,000 miles. After about a year I gave this to my daughter who lives at home with me, she's been pretty nervous about driving reckless so the vehicle has never been in an accident, the whole time, I test drive it before oil changes to make sure everything is running fine, I did change the tires around 50,000 miles, and took the car to Three County Volkswagen in Lyndhurst NJ for more extensive check ups regularly, the service visits are on file. She has been driving the vehicle to a nursing college about 30 miles away, also in NJ for the last 4 years, the car is in very good running order, it has a couple very small dings, and she did lose one of the 2 flip keys about a month after I gave her the car, we do have a additional valet key.
