Hello everybody, here’s another fine example of the ultimate camp mobile. This is a rare Westfalia, which is the Champagne Edition Deluxe model. This is a one year only special bus that has some unique features like chrome bumpers, clock, brown dash and interior panels. It includes a built-in propane stove, sink with electric pump and water reservoir, with electric refrigerator. It has room “upstairs” for sleeping two adults, and a fold-out bench seat that sleeps two more. This is a collectors dream come true. This bus is in its original form. We did recently rebuild the motor to give it reliability and more power. Spent $1800 on the rebuild with receipts to back it up. The build included replacing all the cylinders, complete new gasket set, engine seal, engine mount, new pressure plate, new clutches, clutch release bearing, alternator and complete freshen up of the engine. We also powder coated the dog house to help cooling. Interior is in great shape. Driver seat has some normal wear for a 78. Nice radio with aftermarket 6X9's. All turn signals and horn work. Headlights have no rust and work perfect. Bus can be plugged into city power or can run off back-up battery. It does not have 2nd battery installed. Currently only has the main battery for running the bus down the road. All components for camping are present. Beds, water tank, propane, inverter, and table. Top opens and is in great shape. This bus does have minimal rust on the back corners and front step. Floors are very solid. Heater is not hooked up. Tires are in great shape. Doors can all be locked and opened with a key. Have driven this bus a lot and is a great driver. I have not used the camping feature in a very long time. Not sure if fridge, propane, and sink are ready for action. This bus is all there and ready for somebody to make it their own. Bus is ready to be driven and enjoyed. It has the original service and maintenance manual from the original Texas dealership the bus was purchased at in 1978. Also comes with almost every receipt for all repairs, and maintenance.
