This particular Smart is very well equipped withac, power windows, power locks, keyless entry with 2 key FOB's, power heated mirrors, heated seats, premium wheels, leather wrapped steering wheel, and panoramic glass roof with sliding sun shield. Two minor cosmetic issues with this car. First, the antenna broke off at some point and there is a small minor piece of trim missing from near the front fender. Both are illustrated in pics below. I will do my best to repair both but please bid on the car with these two items in mind. As for mechanics, I just returned from upstate NY with the car works flawlessly. It is definitely more then capable of doing a cross country trip. I do use the vehicle as a daily driver, so mileage may increase slightly during the auction. There are just a few things that make this car unique and one of only about 50 or so here in the United States. It is powered by a Mercedes engineered turbo diesel that is well known for lasting hundreds of thousands of miles. This euro-spec version has been in production since 1998 and has been proven dependable. I can easily achieve 55 to 60 mpg and hits speeds of 75+ comfortably on the freeways. The transmission is a Tiptronic (no clutch manual), and does require shifting but there is no clutch. Also has the fully automatic selector switch. Unlike the 2nd generation US models, it also has 6 speeds instead of the 5. Having disclosed that the car is a grey market car, please check your DMV to ensure it will title in your state. I have a clear Ohio title and will pass it on to the buyer. In addition to Ohio, I'm aware of these Smart cdi's in Florida, Tennessee, Iowa, Indiana, West Virginia, Colorado, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin and Kentucky. If you live in a state not listed, please check with your DMV or local title office to find out the procedures for titling gray market cars in your state. If you happen to live in a state that does not allow for this car (like California for example), please contact me first before getting too discouraged. I have read online of certain legal ways to get this car possibly through. Also, if financing the car, ensure your lender will finance it without a "blue book" value or NADA. The car is located halfway between Columbus and Cleveland Ohio in the very small town of Loudonville. However I travel once a week to Harrisburg, PA and so can show the car to prospective buyers in either location. I will gladly show the car and allow test drives but please contact me well in advance first. Also, delivery is available and contact me first before bidding to get an estimate. I will deliver the car within 14 days, however the car still needs to be paid in full within 72 hours, so keep this in mind if you are not coming to get the car immediately following the auction.
