1957 Porsche Speedster Replica by one of the best known builders in the USA, Vintage Speedsters. This car is a fantastic replica of the original version of the Porsche Speedster and includes some nice extras such as: -Full Porsche Emblem Aftermarket Kit (Originally I paid over $700 for them) so the car includes all the original emblems both inside and out, including beautiful hubcaps with the Porsche emblem on them. -Luggage Rack -Carpeted Trunk -Alpine Stereo System (Deck, Changer, Speakers) -Bumper Guards -Floor Mats -Leather Seats/Interior -Wood Steering Wheel This car has always been garaged since I first bought it back in 2005 and has been professionally maintained. Before listing the car for sale, I had the carburetors replaced, the engine completely tuned and the entire car worked through. I also had the rear reverse light assembly, battery, and driver side mirror replaced as well as some professional work done on the convertible top to fix the wear and tear. This work alone cost me about $1,000+. All in all, I've put over $1,700 into the car just to make sure it is in good working order, looks original and in good condition for a new buyer. The main reason why I'm selling the car is because I don't have the opportunity to use it often given my very demanding work schedule and my living location in LA; this is not a distressed sale. I absolutely love the car and hope someone else can get as much pleasure out of it as I did over the years. The engine runs smooth, and its a 1600 cc so make sure to have it tuned every 3K miles by a mechanic who knows air cooled VW engines. The car is built using the donor pan of a 1969 VW and has a completely clear title. I'm the original owner and the car's only driver since 2005. The car was made to my exact specifications and looks, feels, and behaves like an original Speedster. I'd like to add that there are no cheap effects on her like flared fenders, strange hubcaps or emblems, etc. A deposit of $1,000.00 within 48 hours of auction close is required. Full payment required within 7 days of auction close. As for any flaws or defects in the car, there are just a few minor ones, mostly from simple wear and tear, but I want to mention them here so that there aren't any surprises. There is a small chip in the front windshield on the passenger side that is about 1/4" long and barely noticeable, probably from some CA highway debris that hit it, but its very small and has caused me no problems over the years. There's also some minor oxidation on some of the external components such as the convertible top snaps, door handles, etc. which is unavoidable and typical even with constant garage storage. There are also some minor pits (not chips) in the front of car due to road debris over the years, but it isn't very noticeable. This is unavoidable unless you want to put a bra on the front end, which I doubt anyone will do. The top has one snap that isn't working, but overall its a minor issue and can be addressed very easily. Lastly, the speaker covers are no longer on the car. I removed them because given the rumbling of the engine they would always fall off anyway, but if you are brave you can buy some new ones for a few bucks. There's a minor scratch or two by the wheel wells or fenders from road debris and wear and tear but nothing that disrupts the beauty of the car, especially when waxed and garaged regularly.
