NO RESERVE READ THE AD BEFORE YOU BID :This has been in the same Family since new, bought by my friends ex-wife's grandfather, passed down to her father, to her and then her son. Car was retired in 1993 when a starter was replaced and not replaced correctly, resulting in broken teeth on the flywheel. It was then pulled into my friends body shop and the transmission was removed. They had trouble removing the flywheel and the car begin to sit, as his son was only 8 years old anyway. Then in the early 2000's they grew interested in the car once more and begin removing all of the trim for bodywork prep and paint, this car has never been in any major accidents and is a complete numbers matching car. Car was completely stripped to the metal, with the exception of the cowl panel and the panel behind the rear glass, very little bodywork was started and it was sealed with grey primer. My friends son then took an interest in a chevelle and the car begin sitting again up until I purchased it with intentions of restoring it. I cleaned it up scuffed it down a little, primed it white and stuck it half way back together in order not to lose any of the trim ( it is barely on for picture purposes and I would remove it prior to hauling) Car is a straight unmolested 1965 Comet Caliente 2 dr fastback hdt, 289 engine automatic transmission, power steering, delay wipers,100% original, Comes with it's original steel wheels and hubcaps, original spare and bumper jack. Glass is all good but the windshield has wiper scratches, floor pans are solid but there is an area under the driver side rear seat that needs repaired due to rust. The trunk pan will need replaced or patched, also the drip rail of the trunk will need replaced due to rust, you can order the complete patch panel. very small areas of pit rust in a couple of spots, 3 minor dings on the driver door the size of bb's , passenger side has a small scrape dent on it where it looks like it ran into something. This car is well worth the money and if you are looking for one of these to restore you need to give this one a look, not many around in this condition anymore. The doors close very easily and tight just by barely pushing them to. The engine will need a battery and a new set of points to run again and it ran very smooth and was very powerful, needs a new flywheel and you may as well put in some new seals in the transmission while it is out. Battery box has rust as usual, rear bumper is dented, can be straightened and re chromed . NO TITLE Car comes with a bill of sale only BUT has never been registered without a title, so there is a chance you could obtain a replacement title through the state of georgia. I only have a bill of sale and somewhere the last tag receipt. No car dolly as the tires are dry, You will need a full trailer or a rollback, I can provide you with a number of a rollback service locally, car will not be removed until paid in full. I will entertain cash offers but I am not giving the car away, not hurting for the money, just want to see the car restored to it's previous glory. Car must be paid for in full within 7 days of auction end, After I am paid if you need additional time for transport, you may have as long as needed at no cost to arrange your transport, the car is underneath a shed and not in the way. I reserve the right to cancel any bid that appears to be fraudulent. If you mail payment you may do so using a return receipt request envelope and once I receive it I will do the same with your paperwork, if you need the bill of sale notarized I can arrange that as well.
