This 2005 Chevy Uplander LS comes from our fleet of vehicles, used to transport developmentally-disabled adults to and from work, medical appointments, shopping and occasional field trips. Financing for this vehicle originated through a grant from the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT). As an assisted-living facility licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services, we are required to ensure that all our drivers are trained and pass strict background checks. The vehicle itself was also subject to inspection by ADOT for the first few years of operation. There is a decal on the left rear panel indicating that the vehicle was obtained through ADOT. We are the only owners of this vehicle. We do not permit smoking in any of our vehicles. We recently received new vans for our fleet, so it's time to retire this one. It's in clean condition and has been maintained by our on-site mechanic. It's used, with over 125,000 miles on it, but it has just normal wear and tear on the paint, exterior, and interior. (It doesn't look brand new but it sure looks better than the car I drive to work!) To our knowledge, the DVD player in the vehicle has never been used. The winning bidder will be responsible for paying for the vehicle within seven days of the auction closing, with a deposit due by PayPal within 72 hours. The vehicle must be picked up within fourteen days of the auction closing, during regular business hours (M-F, 8am-5pm). In Arizona, license plates stay with the owner, not the vehicle. Upon purchasing the vehicle, you will be required to go to a Motor Vehicle Division office to register the vehicle and obtain a new license plate (or use one you already have). To drive the vehicle to registration, you'll need to obtain a Restricted Use 3-Day Permit, available at an MVD or third-party registration office or online at the Arizona MVD website. (We've got too many vehicles and this one has more miles, so it's going.) There was a problem with the timing just as the vehicle came out of warranty, but our local Chevy dealer repaired it as if it had been under warranty once they saw our service records. They said it looked brand new when they rebuilt the upper half of the engine.In June 2012, the van was rear-ended at the end of a freeway off-ramp. The other driver's insurance company paid for repairs at the body shop we normally use. They repaired the tailgate and rear floor sill and replaced the rear bumper and left tail lamp.
