Vehicle Detail

This is a 1991 Toyota MR2 with a 3SGTE Turbo motor. This car currently has a salvage title due to the front bumper and side molding being popped off. This car would be a great project car or parts car because many of the upgraded parts are newer or in good shape. The actual vehicle miles are unknown because the speedometer cable was disconnected. A fiberglass wing as well as the passenger side sideskirt are also included, but simply not attached at the moment. Listed below are some aspects about the vehicle. The car comes equipped with: -3SGTE turbo racing motor with 300+ horsepower. (With approximately 75,000 miles) (I would approximate body miles as 150,000) - HKS overhead CAMS - Short throw shifter -Chrome Moly inner CV joint (only one installed on passenger side rear) -Racing steering wheel upgrade -Cold Air Intake -3 inch exhaust run straight into a 3 inch muffler -Stage 2 racing clutch Listed Below are the current mechanical problems that I have identified. -The car runs rich, seems to trace back to a faulty O2 sensor. (Mass airflow sensor has been replaced) -Short throw shifter is tight moving into 5th gear and occasionally will fall out. -Speedometer cable was disconnected with the engine swap. -Tires are in poor condition. -Driver side rear inner CV joint needs to be replaced to match passenger side. -One of the fan sensors does not operate properly, fan is currently wired to a switch to bypass. -There is currently no radio in the car. -There is a slow electrical drain that traces back to the door locks that trigger occasionally. -The battery is dead. -From not being driven, it appears that the clutch cable has de-pressurized. -Windshield Wiper motor is burned out and the wiper arms have been taken off. I have owned this car for many years now and unfortunately have not had the time to fix it up as I would have loved. Buying a house, getting married, and having a child have all pushed my project car dream aside and now that I am moving again, it’s time to give it up. I only have a few weeks to sell the car so I am pricing this car to sell. The motor alone is worth several thousand dollars! Because of the salvage title and some of the issues described above, if purchased, the car must be picked up locally. It is not currently drivable and a car trailer would be needed. Full payment will be due within seven days. I believe that is everything, but please feel free to contact me if you have any other questions about the vehicle. Thank you for your interest!
