1975 Porsche 911S TargaThis car was a daily driver until the alternator went out in 2005. It has been parked since then. Unfortunately outside. I have taken several pictures of the body to show the condition. It has some rust spots but I wouldn't call it a rust bucket. The hood skin is trash but the underside is good. The floorpans are solid inside the car and underneath. The trunk is also solid with one small spot in the corner behind the battery. The rockers and bottoms of the doors seem good also. There is a little bondo in front of the passenger side rear wheel but the back side of the panel is straight and not caved in. The car was originally white and has one paint job over it from what I can tell. Looks like they didn't even scuff the original paint before painting it because the white is gloss smooth where the blue is peeling off. The interior is complete but obviously needs to be redone. The engine is a 2.7 Liter Fuel injected and does run. All gages seem to work. The alternator is not hooked up and needs to be replaced. The odometer shows 62,382 miles. I'm sure the car has 162,382. I was told the motor was rebuilt and has around 60,000 on it, but I can't say for sure. I have attached a video of the car running for a few minutes and it seems to run smooth. It has a 5 speed transmission and the clutch only had 1,000 miles on it before the car was parked.I have driven the car back and forth in the shop so the clutch and trans do work however the car can't be driven. The brakes work, but the pedal is very sticky and has to be pulled back by hand after the brakes are applied. The accelerator pedal is also sticking and has to be pulled back. The cable seems to be sticking inside the housing. The wheels are 16 inch alloys and the tires have good tread and are not weather cracked.All the glass is good, with one small chip in the passenger side front windshield. The targa top seems to go on and off with no problem! I can't see any signs of the car ever being wrecked. This car is very complete and the only items that I can see missing are the air conditioning compressor and the passenger side rear lower quarter panel behind the wheel. It was torn off from a blown tire. The tire also took the moulding off the lower rocker which I still have.I have provided all the info I can on the car. If you have concerns I suggest you come and look at the car in person. The car is currently registered in California and has a clean California title in my name. The registration is current with a 2013 tag! 1975 and older cars DON'T have to be smogged in California.
