here we got a nice classic survivor 1984 el camino with the conquista edition package. this s a very nice straight rust free car that could use a few small things here and there, will list below. i got it from older guy that was doing some restoration work with his buddy as a project together yrs ago to pass retired time and then his buddy got sick and the fun kinda died there he didnt touch it for years, it sat in garage for the past 8 yrs. i got it and was gonna build a pro touring type of deal and just changed my mind plus figured the car was just too nice and origianal.so leave it be. anyway the car has 148k miles but the 305 was getting tired, so they put a low mileage 350 ci engine in it from 83 chevy truck, i ran the numbers and he wasnt lying. only a 2 barrel carb but it had a rv type cam in it and the truck was hit bad in the rear is how they got the donor engine. the engine is said to have 75,000 miles on it and who knows but it does sound and run very healthy and has no leaks anywhere that i have seen. dual exhaust from manifolds, w. turbo mufflers. sounds great. has turbo 350 trans with 10 bolt POSI rear. works great. also no leaks at trans. no noises or smoke,works very good. brakes work good, power brakes, disc in front drum rears. all lights work as they should. horn interior lights, heater all work. glass all good has a few scratches here and there, a few minor chips at top of pass. window, but overall nice. winshield is new. new trim rings and center caps on factory wheels with new bfg radials.....changed plugs. car goes down the road very nice and straight. body is very solid for the year with just normal paint chips here and there where it peeled some then and got some surface rust, i touched a bunch of areas up and showed some in pics. very straight a few minor dings. rockers and such are perfect. undercarriage just has typical spots where it has some peeling paint and such, not real rust seen !! and the best is the bed which is usually rusty on these...this one awesome shape, again a few dings...no rust, previous owner touched up paint and it just looks nice and clean, some flaky peeling spots again but thats it. the overall paint on this car is fair, nothing your gonna comb your hair in thats for sure, but its there and he said the front clip and hood has a bunch of chips so they painted the whole hood and front fenders, again looks ok, not a pro job you see spray lines in hood and such, but for a single stage paint it dont look terrible and matches pretty darn good. interior overall is nice as well normal stuff a few cracks in vinyl dash, a few holes where someone something screwed on at some time around radio area. seat is super nice with a few minor wear marks on egdes. and a few things the car could use yet and or needs some attn. all by preferance of coarse i just like to be very specific.... needs headliner, just foam up there now. radio turns on and makes some noise but thats about it. power winows dont work, windows are up in place and neither work, i did check fuse but thats it, not good w/ elec. stuff. power locks do work, but not real great, need lubed i think. needs one tailgate cable. 1 front mudflap mia and has chip outa inner fender where rock hit, flap would cover it. when they did engine swap they did not reinstall the a/c or all of smog items or cruise. this car was equipted with all, but you would need to hunt the parts, the smog pump and other contraption there but not hooked up. all ac stuff there in heater box but no compressor or lines. brackets are there. who needs smog or ac anyway. ok maybe you do just kidding. well thats about it think, again very nice overall car with just a few small items to address, but needs nothing to drive right now !! will need inspected due to windshield replacement but should not need anything. also just put new wipers on. all of the body trim mouldings are very nice and hard to find, most was off car when i got it too, so i know there is not rust hiding under them either fyi. oh and the speedo works sometimes and sometimes not, so it may need cable.and like most of these type body cars it could use door hinge bushings, but they are not terrible. very nice classic original truck to just enjoy and use and drive while you fix little items or great base for a total restoration too, dont miss it very fair low reserve. thanks and read my details below prior to bidding please, thanks also bumpers are average, again no rust but dings scuffs etc. and bottom insides of doors was a common rot place and these are good, they do have some blistering paint and surface rust, but no holes or nothing...could also use new door weatherstripping is a little rough around the edges... thanks TRUCK IS FOR PICK UP ONLY IN MIDDLEBURG, PA 17842 SNYDER COUNTY USED VEHICLE SOLD AS-IS NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.
