Vehicle Detail

Selling my 2006 G6 GTP Sedan. 3.9L V-6. One of the few out there with the 6-speed manual transmission. Fully loaded with heated leather seats, premium stereo system and the awesome panoramic sunroof (forgot to take a picture of it... it's one of these http://0.tqn.com/d/cars/1/0/s/c/ag_07g6sedan_sunroof.jpg)! Car has 93K miles, and I am the original owner. I bought the car new in 2006 and used it to commute to work for 7 years. It has been completely bulletproof the whole time, never needing a single repair outside of scheduled maintenance and regular wear items (tires, oil, etc). The only reason I'm selling is that I will be taking the train to my new job and no longer need a car. It's a fun and very comfortable summer cruiser with the big sunroof wide open! The car is in great shape mechanically. The engine is solid, the transmission shifts smoothly and the car drives like new. All scheduled service has been performed, and within the last two thousand miles the car got new brakes and two new tires (the other two still have plenty of life). There are only two mechanical issues (1) the front driver side door lock actuator failed a few months ago. That means that the power door lock on that door doesn't work, so you need to manually unlock it with a key from the outside. I called the dealer and they quoted me $150 to fix it, but since it's only a minor inconvenience I never got around to getting it fixed. (2) the driver side heated seat stopped working this past winter. Cosmetically the car looks great from 10ft away, but there are a few minor issues. The car was in a minor fender bender a couple of years back - one of those slow motion 5 mph crashes in the snow. A lady couldn't stop on time and she scraped along the driver side of my car. The end result are shallow dents on both driver side doors (since it was wet out, the paint didn't really get damaged). The damage is barely noticeable and purely cosmetic so I never bothered to fix it (I'm sure one of those paint-less dent removal places can probably repair the both doors fairly easily). There is also some minor curb rash on one of the wheels (see picture). I included close up pictures of both damaged areas below. The interior is is good shape, I have had the car completely detailed every year and the leather cleaned and conditioned. The seats are in great shape with less than expected wear for the age and mileage. The carpets are in good shape mostly but there is a tear in the driver side carpet from wear. I lost my floor mats a short while after buying the car so the carpet got worn out under my feet. I rarely had passengers in the car so the rest of the interior is mint. A new set of floor mats and it would look good as new. Clear title, fully paid off. The car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time.
