For Sale, 1962 Austin Healey Sprite. I bought this car 10 years ago from a gentleman who was into SCCA racing. The car ran great at that point, but the clutch was going, the brakes were also shaky (probably the master cylinder). The car has not been started in at least 8 years, but it has been cranked occasionally and the cylinders were fogged prior to storage. It turned over with the key and a jump pack last weekend. The shifter moves through the gears, but the clutch is shot. A new in the box clutch is included and will need to be installed. The exhaust is missing from the manifold back. There are all the lights, manual, repair book, new emblems, windscreens (one broken glass) and two windshields (original and a spare) plus many spare parts in the trunk. I redid the wiring for the engine so it is newer. This car uses a 12 volt Lucas system and it appears to be all original (other than the wires). I was told, but never verified, that the 1250cc engine was removed and a 1500cc 1979 Midget engine was installed.The interior is stripped with just a couple of gauges loose in the dash. There are belts and one really bad seat. The body is in excellent shape though other than one hole in the driver’s floorboard. This is a really fun car and a fun project at the right price.
