Vehicle Detail
A real barn find, I heard of this car from a friend who knew I liked British cars, he told me the car had been off the road since the 60’s, It was in good condition and the owner was moving out of state so he needed to sell. I never thought I would find the car in as good shape as it is-other than a bad stained and faded green paint job over the original red and some small dents and scrapes the body is in expellant condition. Well to make a long story as short as I can my son was vary excited about the car and I let him buy the car as a father son project but he just bought a diesel truck and asked me to sell the MG.I never expected him to sell it but I have to many car and boat projects of my own so as the saying goes my loss is your gain. The car has been on the road since early summer but has only been driven 60 miles as my sons job keeps him away from home. It starts and runs and drives good, it shifts into all gears cleanly, the clutch is smooth and no sense of slip, the lights work(usually) as do all the gages including the tachometer and speedometer as I said the body is in great condition less a dent in the left rear fender and right rear bumper, the front bumper is not on the car because the brackets were not with the car, the body has a hole on right cowl for an antenna but not installed and has no radio. It comes with 4 hub caps 2 with MG logo 2 without, right wind deflector is broken but part is with the car, top is ok it has a small tear and was painted black and is now pealing, side curtains are ok with window damage on one. The engine is not original but is a factory rebuild with .020 under rod and main bearings, I cleaned and flushed the engine, oil pan, valve cover and replaced the rod bearings before we started driving. Our plan was to rebuild the engine and go through the brakes this winter. The tires are new 165/80R15 radials, the generator was rebuilt, new interstate battery and the tank was sent out and cleaned then lined with red coat. It has a heater I have not tested it. That’s about it he is selling it as is running condition please ask any questions I wont lie, if your looking for a solid MG TF to restore or clean up and drive this is as nice I have ever found . P.S. I was just burned by a scamer so if you dont have low feedback or have a bad report I can't waste my time and won't accept your bid Thank you for looking
