Vehicle Detail

1948 Ford F-1 Pickup Truck. This is a neat old Hot Rod. It has a list of features an Hot Rod upgrades on a very solid Ford F-1 Body. This truck is a nice Cruiser and a good looking vehicle to take to Parades, Cruise Ins and Car Shows. This Truck has a clear Title. The Truck is Satin or Flat Hot Rod Black. The Truck has a Small Block Ford V-8 Engine and 3 Speed Automatic Transmission with the shifter on the Column. It also has a later model Ford Differential, probably from a Ranger or other small Ford Product. The Engine starts easily, runs strong and idles well. It has complete exhaust, all the way from the Manifolds to the Chrome Exhaust Tips and runs with a throaty rumble. The Truck has Rack and Pinion Steering and Power Brakes. The Front Brakes are Disc and the Rear Brakes are Drum. It Starts, Stops, Runs and Shifts through the Gears very smoothly. The Truck has a General Motors Wiring Harness complete with Fuse Box. The Electrical System is, of course, 12 Volt. The Truck also has the General Motors Tilt Steering Column and Chevrolet Steering Wheel. It has a complete set of Stewart Warner Gauges mounted in the Dash. The Lights and Gauges work. The Truck also has both Heat and Air Conditioning. It has Turn Signals and Brake Lights including a High Mounted Brake Light mounted in the Rear of the Cab. This truck is very solid. The Cab Floor is solid. The Interior is a mix of Red and Gray with Red Carpet and Headliner and Gray 6 Way Power Bench Seat. The Power Seat has some wear, but looks good and fits well in the Cab. The Windshield is Cracked. The Driver's Door Glass is cracked. The Passenger Door Glass is cracked. The Running Boards are Fiberglass. The Front Fenders both look good, but have dings in them. The Front Bumper has been Shaved and the Front Fenders are Smoothed to cover the Bumper Bracket Holes. The Hood is good and has nice Stainless Steel Trim. The Grill is nice, but has some dings in it. The Rear Fenders are fiberglass. The Bed of the Truck has a piece of Aluminum mounted in it. The Gas Tank has been replaced with a Fuel Cell that is mounted in the Bed, inside a box. The Tail Gate is in good condition. The original Chains and Hooks have been replaced with a Latching System made from an old set of Seat Belt Latches. This system works very well. The truck is sitting on a very nice set of 14" Aluminum wheels and B.F.Goodrich Radial T A Tires. The tires are in excellent, almost new condition. There are still some things this truck could use. The Engine is strong and runs well, but could use a dress up kit or maybe an Aluminum Cobra Valve Covers and Air Cleaner set. A few other dress up ideas would make this a very attractive and impressive hot rod! This Truck is dependable and can be driven. It drives well, but remember, it is still 64 years old. It has not been driven on any long trips recently, but appears to be very roadworthy. You could probably drive this truck anywhere. It may still be a good idea to trailer it home. If you are interested in delivery, I may be able to assist with delivery, for a fee, within a few hundred miles of Canton, Ohio. I am posting good pictures and tried to give a good description of the truck. I will try to answer any questions through email. This truck sells without reserve to the highest bidder.
