Vehicle Detail
Here's a 1971 Triumph Daytona T100R, prime for restoration. Bike was purchased in 2008, registered, made to run, then parked in dry storage awaiting restoration. With too many projects in front of it, it's time to let someone else take the bike and get started restoring it. The bike is as you see below, no other parts come with it, and it is sold completely as-is. When purchased in 2008, the bike had been parked in dry storage for 10 years. To get the bike running in 2008, it took carb cleaning and a battery charge. At the time, it started easily, ran good and shifted through all gears smoothly with no clutch slippage. Front and rear brakes worked fine. There is a video at the bottom of the pictures showing the bike being kick started the day this listing started. The bike would start initially, but without a choke it doesn't want to stay running. Obviously the carbs need cleaning again, however the video shows promise of a running T100R. With the battery jumped and key on, the rear brake light works from the foot pedal, but no other lights come on. I'll let the pictures speak for the bikes condition, but just know the bike will need work to make roadworthy again. Paint on the tank is not bad, but has various chips/scratches and a very shallow dent on the top near the seat. No tank badges. Side tanks, right side has two dents near the bottom, but otherwise is dent free, and the left is dent free. Seat pan corroded on the left side, foam is crumbling and piping coming undone on top. Missing rear seat pan pivot bracket. Chrome needs polish, there is some rust pitting on the headlight bucket, rear rim, pipes and fenders. Front fender is dented at the top, rear fender has some extra holes by some previous owner. Top tail light mount bolt missing. Front tire severely weather checked on sidewall. The bike has a clean, clear title, however it has not been registered non-op and there will be back fees if registered in California, so be prepared , and understand this before placing a bid. Back fees are the responsibility of the new owner. Here are the rules: The bike must be picked up in Livermore, Cal. If you want to ship the bike, there are a number of companies that will ship the bike for you from here to your door, but it will NOT be CHEAP. At least $700-$800 Coast to Coast. So do your shipping homework first before you bid. I can help with transport within California but you MUST ASK FIRST. If you have 0-3 feedbacks, you must clear your bid with me first. Ask any questions you may have and Happy Bidding!
