Vehicle Detail
1977 F250 Ranger 2WD longbox original survivor truck. Dry western Montana truck purchased from fussy retired engineer owner that lovingly cared for the truck for the last 30 years. Great collector vehicle you can use and enjoy today. I'll try to describe the truck to the best of my ability below: Exterior: Original paint, still shines with only a few minor blemishes. Very presentable for cruise night or weekend show. I have owned many of these 70's Ford trucks and this is one of the nicest survivors I've seen. No rust that I can find anywhere - and I know where to look. In this high desert land of prickly pear cactus and sage, we only get 10 inches total moisture annually and no salt is used on the roads. There are a few parking lot scratches and dings, with one spot on cowl that needs touchup, and one small hole drilled in rear driver box(shown -not sure what for). Chrome is good, glass is all good (windshield replaced), no issues to drive and use today for anything but serious show duty. Interior: Appears all original and nice. Headliner, carpet, door panels, dash all very nice. Seat has one small tear on driver side at front(shown) that could be easily repaired. Fresh non smoke with no odors, stains, or discoloration. Factory steering wheel has the usual few cracks and horn pad wear. Ready to jump in and use! Mechanical: The 400 engine was rebuilt at approximately 90k miles. Motor is tight, no noises, smoke or leaks. Starts, runs, and drives out smooth. Doesn't heat. C6 trans and Dana 60 rear work great. Absolutely everything works right down to the seat belt buzzer. No issues that I can see. The previous owner just had anything that needed attention taken care of - be it brakes, shocks, radiator, alternator etc - if it was less than perfect, it was replaced. There was an auxilliary fuel tank behind the seat at one time that has since been removed, but the filler neck is still there. Decent tires on late model 95 F250 factory aluminum wheels. Pricing/Misc: I got a good deal on this truck and you will too - reserve is under $3500 for quick sale. Hagerty News says the latest trend in collector cars/trucks are "usable" classics like this truck that can head to the Steak N Shake with the wife, or to Home Depot on Saturday with. Use and enjoy with pride while it appreciates in the garage. At this low reserve price, a buyer may consider purchasing the truck just for the clean dry sheet metal alone, for that rusty High Boy project. Can't even do the body and paint on a truck for this money! Buyer is responsible for shipping - I recommend Kathy Gant at Certified Auto Shippers in Portland, OR for the best pricing. http://www.certifiedautoshippers.com/ Canadian and Australian bidders welcome, I am very familiar with the border procedure to get the truck to Canada. Payment by cash in person or bank wire. Good luck! Keywords 73 74 75 76 77 78 79 F250 F100 F150 Ford Ranger XLT Custom Explorer Bronco Highboy 4x4This Vehicle is Being Sold "As-Is." On Oct-13-12 at 16:58:08 PDT, seller added the following information: Just did another walk around and underneath the truck with a buyer on the phone double checking everything, and there is a tiny speck of what might be rust starting on the wheelwell driver side rear. It's about the size of a pencil tip and won't show up in a picture. It can be felt with a finger. Nothing to be even mildly concerned about, but full disclosure is the rule here! THANKS
