Vehicle Detail
THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION, THIS CAR WILL SELL TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER! GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY BIDDING!!! Up for sale is my rare 1955 Ford Victoria 2 Door Hardtop. This car has a 272 factory V-8 with a factory 2 barrel carbureator and a factory 2 speed automatic transmission. The car runs and drives. The patina is unique and this car is ready to head out for a nice fall cruise in! Nothing preserves these cars like a good moderate Southern climate. This southern belle is a great example of that. See our photo bucket pictures and a video at this link: http://s621.photobucket.com/albums/tt297/jtmkustoms/1955%20Ford%20Victoria%202%20door%20hardtop/#!cpZZ1QQtppZZ24 The car has, at some point, undergone some partial restoration. There is a little body filler in the some of the common areas and the car has been resprayed to the factory specified blue and white, but with time and age this paint has gotten quite a wonderful patina. The paint is not perfect but this patina would be really hard and expensive to reproduce. The moderate Southern climate has naturally perfected the patina. My plan was to seal this patina with a flat clear. Sealing in the patina with flat clear is the new thing and if you watch all of these TV shows they are all preserving the paint this way. It is a really cool and inexpensive way to keep the original nostalgic look of this era of cars. The interior has been redone in the factory blue and white scheme. The seats are in good driver quality condition, the carpet has been changed out and overall the interior would be great for cruising just as it is. Overall the body is fairly solid. The firewall, cowl, A pillars, door jambs, transmission hump, floor boards, and trunk pan are all solid. There is some body filler in the usual spots. The original trim is all present, and in good driver quality condition. The original fender skirts are in place on the car and I also have a additional set that will be included in the auction. The glass is all present and in good driver quality condition. The blinkers, headlights, taillights and stoplights work. The original frame is in good condition, it still retains all of the original suspension components. The car has never been in a major accident causing any frame damage. The steering gearbox is a little worn and is going to need to be rebuilt or replaced. The car still retains the drum brakes on all four corners. The brakes are in good working condition. The tires on the car do have some dry rot and are going to need to be replaced if the car is going to be driven a lot. I have been driving the car locally around town, but I have not taken on any long distance trips. I recommend the car be transported to it’s new home. The interior is in great condition. As I’ve stated, the seats have been redone in the factory blue and white color scheme and the door panels were also redone at the same time. The carpet was replaced with a black carpet kit at some point. I believe the factory original headliner is still in the car, it doesn’t sag and isn’t ripped or torn. All of the factory original trim is present in the interior, including all of the door handles, window knobs, etc. All of the windows roll up and down properly. The factory original dash is unaltered and solid. The original factory clock, radio and gauges are all present. The gas gauge, speedometer, and temperature gauge are all in working order. This extremely rare factory V-8 2 door hardtop Victoria is a really great starting point for a restoration project or a perfect car to hit the cruise-in’s with on these nice autumn weekends. GOOD LUCK BIDDING AND THANKS FOR TAKING A LOOK!!! I KNOW HOW HARD IT CAN BE BUYING A CAR SIGHT UNSEEEN. I HAVE GONE TO GREAT LENGHTS TO TAKE AS MANY PICTURES AS POSSIBLE TO TRY TO SHOW THE VEHICLE'S TRUE CONDITION, PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT ALL THE PICTURES AT THE PHOTOBUCKET LINK. I AM AN HONEST SELLER WITH 100% FEEDBACK AND TAKE THIS AUCTION SERIOUSLY. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FEEL FREE AND DON'T HESITATE TO MESSAGE ME OR CALL ME AT 678-758-1557. THANKS! JT TITLE: Georgia is a non-title state for vehicles older than 1986 & didn't even start issuing titles for new cars at all until 1961. Therefore this 1955 Ford Victoria is exempt from title here in Georgia & has no title. However, if you live in a state which requires a vehicle of this year to be titled, I WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH THE PAPERWORK YOU NEED TO GET YOUR TITLE QUICKLY & EASILY. This means the winning bidder will get a T-7 bill of sale, a state VIN inspection certificate & an official letter from the state of GA confirming that this vehicle is exempt from title in this state. This paperwork will allow you to register the vehicle if you live in a non-title state such as Georgia. This paperwork will also automatically transfer into an actual title if you live in a state which requires a title on a vehicle of this year. I know some of you may be thinking that your tag office is hard to deal with & they just will not issue you a title if you don't have a title from the seller. I understand your hesitation but please believe me when I tell you... they have absolutely no choice but to issue you a title on this vehicle. Every County in every State is governed by the rules of the United States Department Of Transportation. The law says that if a vehicle is brought from a non-title state into a title requiring state & there is valid paperwork from the non-title state... the title requiring state MUST issue a clean, clear, title for that vehicle in the new state. It's the law & no matter how hard to deal with your tag office may be, they WILL issue you a title. There are several states which don't require titles on older vehicles. If there wasn't a unified law to cover these vehicles nationwide, people who moved from a non-title state to a new state may very well find that their very valuable classic automobiles couldn't be tagged in the their new home state, that is not the case. No one has had any trouble obtaining their title with the information I provide. You won't either. It is as easy as a regular transfer of ownership. Anyone wishing to inspect this car or have the car inspected is welcome to do so, but inspections must be completed prior to the auction’s end. If you have little or no feedback please send me your contact information through ASK SELLER A QUESTION link in this listing or give me a call so that we can speak on the phone prior to you placing your bid. Deposit will be due within 24 hours of the close of this auction. If the deposit is not paid or other arrangements are not made with the seller, you will receive a nonpayment strike on your feedback rating and I will re-list this car. Full payment must be made within the eBay allotted 7 days as is the eBay policy or arrangements must be made with the seller, or you will lose your deposit. All members with genuine interest in this car are more than welcome to ask questions. All will be answered promptly. If you look at my feedback you will see that all buyers and sellers have been very happy dealing with me. ADDITIONAL TERMS: This is not a game. I am an honest seller, NO SCAMMERS OF ANY SORT WILL BE TOLERATED. It is your job to satisfy yourself to the best of your abilities as to the validity and the correctness of this ad, which may include hiring a non-affiliated third party to inspect this vehicle if you so desire prior to bidding.
