Vehicle Detail
1957 Ford F-100 Custom Cab Pickup Truck. This is a neat old Hot Rod. This truck has been hot rodded and would be a great cruiser or Rat Rod. It has a Buck 455 Engine and Automatic Transmission. This Truck has a clear Ohio Title. The Body on this truck is fair. It is not perfect. There is rust and some rust holes. Someone installed a 455 Buick Wildcat Engine in this truck. I believe the work was started in 1972 and finished in 1984. The builder left some notes on the inside of the truck's interior. The Truck has an Automatic Transmission with the shifter on the Floor. The Engine starts easily and runs well. It sounds very strong. It has complete exhaust, but still has a loud throaty rumble, when running. The Truck has Manual Steering and Manual Drum Brakes. It Starts, Stops, Runs and Shifts through the Gears. The Lights and Gauges work. The Gauge Cluster is apparently from the Buick donor car. The Steering Wheel is a Pontiac piece and I have no idea where that came from. This truck has some rust in it. The Cab Floor has some rust and some patches. There is no Carpet or Rubber Mat in the Floor, so you can see what condition this sheet metal is in. The Seat is nice and appears to be original. The Cab Corners have rust in them. The Windshield has a crack in it. The Driver's Door Glass is cracked. The Passenger Door Glass is cracked. The Rear Window is not cracked, but has fogging around the edges. The Front Fenders both look good, but have dings and rust in them. There is no Front Bumper. The Hood has a raised panel in the center that is not on the later trucks. It also has some rust. It has a Chrome Grill and V-8 emblem. The Grill has some small dings in it, but looks nice. The Bed of the Truck has a piece of Steel welded in the floor. The Tail Gate is solid. The Tail Lights are there and working but the Reverse Lights are missing. The truck is sitting on a set of 15" Aluminum Aftermarket Wheels. The tires are Goodyear Wrangler HT Radials. They look good, but are old and might not be trustworthy. They hold air and are good enough for test driving and to load on a trailer, but should probably not be put on the open road. You probably should not drive this truck home. I may be able to assist with delivery, for a fee, within a few hundred miles of Canton, Ohio. I am posting good pictures and tried to give a good description of the truck. I will try to answer any questions through email. This truck sells without reserve to the highest bidder.
