This truck runs fairly well. Has the original 228 GMC 6 cyl full pressure oiling engine with 4 speed transmission and torque tube rear end. Doesn't smoke but does drip some oil. Starts hard when up to full operating temp but starts well when cold. Furthest I've driven it is about 70 miles. Body needs work. Rust through in foot wells and left rear cab corner. Misc dings and dents throughout and multi layers of paint on cab. Bed sills rusty but useable, bed strips need to be replaced, currently has a temp plywood bed. Previous owner sprayed with gray primer. Seems to be in stock condition. All windows there and operational but side windows badly cracked and driver's winshield cracked. Bias ply highway tires with good tread and some weather checking. Steers easily, stops OK but front brakes howl occasionally, shifts well. Gauges all work although speedo is inaccurate. Here's what's new, rebuilt carb, repro tail lights w/adaptors for 12v bulbs and new wiring to engine compartment, front park/turn lamps w/ refurbished turn signal switch and flasher, muffler, front and rear shocks, brake master cyl, plugs points condensor and plug wires, seat upholstery, rebuilt battery cover, modern fuse panel under dash used for turn signals and heater fan so far, new heater fan switch (temp control bypassed because it leaks), new defroster hoses. Vacuum wipers work, vacuum motor disassembled cleaned and lubed and wiper transmission has all new rubber bushings, new wiper arms and blades, K&N air filter (still have original oil bath which has a pinhole in it and leaks, don't know how that happened it's not rusty), new repro old style exterior mirrors, new repro glove box door, new glove box itself not installed because it's easier to work under the dash without it, previous owner said the gas tank and radiator were new and they look like they could be. Included are all the parts need for a 12 volt conversion except a battery and the generator would need to be converted. This includes voltage reducers for the fuel gauge and heater motor, lights, new coil w/ ballast resistor, 12v voltage regulator. Also misc new parts including fuel pump gasket, differential gasket, starter pedal boot, rubber gas tank mounts. Also misc old used parts.
