Vehicle Detail
1960 Ford F-100 Custom Cab Pickup Truck. This is a nice old Barn Find. This truck is originally from West Virginia. It sat on the farm and in a barn for years. It was sold to another farmer in Ohio in 2001 and got stored in another barn for the last 11 years. According to the Title and the Farmer, the 81,955 miles, on the odometer is accurate. This Truck has a clear Ohio Title. The Truck appears to have always been red. The paint on the truck is probably a second paint job and not the original. It has not been painted since the current owner bought it. The whole Truck has that faded or shop worn, rat rod look, everyone is looking for. This Truck has never been restored. The Body on this truck is very good, not perfect. There are some dents, dings, scratches and minor rust. The faded paint, rust and dings add to the shop worn, rat rod look. The Truck has it's original overhead 6 Cylinder Engine and 3 Speed Manual Transmission with the shifter on the Column. The Engine starts easily, every time and runs and idles well. It has complete exhaust and runs smoothly and quietly. The Truck has Manual Steering and Manual Drum Brakes. It Starts, Stops, Runs and Shifts through the Gears. The Lights and Gauges work. The Horn, Wipers and Heater / Defroster Fan work. The Generator may not be working properly. I have not had the need to jump start it, but the gauge indicates it is not charging. This truck has very little rust in it. The Cab Floor looks good, but has some minor rust. There is no Carpet or Rubber Mat in the Floor, so you can see exactly what is good and bad. The Dashboard is solid, complete and attractive. The paint on the Dash is faded the same as the exterior of the truck. The Instrument Cluster is nice, looks good and appears to be original. The Seat is nice and has a worn faded cover on it that has protected it from wear and damage. The Headliner is old, but still in the truck. The Cab Corners are solid and not rusted out. The Roof and Rear of Cab are good. The Doors are good. The Windshield is Good. The Driver's Door Glass is cracked. The Passenger Door Glass is good. The Rear Window is good. The Front Fenders both look good. The Front Bumper is good and solid. The Hood does not have the usual rust across the front. It is nice and solid. The Truck has a Chrome Grill. The Grill has one small dings in it, but looks nice. The Rear Bed Sides are good. The Bed of the Truck has a piece of Steel welded in the floor. The Tail Gate is Original and Solid, but is missing one of the chain hooks. The Chains and Latches are there and appear to be original. The Faded Paint on the truck is awesome and really makes this truck. The truck is sitting on a set of 15" steel wheels and Vintage Ford hub caps. There are two different pairs of old Ford Hub Caps. One set on each side. Unless you point this out, no one is likely to ever notice! The tires are Bias Ply and are old and not in very good condition. They hold air and are good enough for a test drive and to load on a trailer, but are probably in no condition to be driven any distance. You should consider trailering this truck home! I may be able to assist with delivery, for a fee, within a few hundred miles of Canton, Ohio. I am posting good pictures and tried to give a good description of the truck. I will try to answer any questions through email. This truck sells without reserve to the highest bidder.
