Vehicle Detail

Im selling my 2005 Duramax extended cab 4x4 because i am doing more road trips with the family and i bought a crew cab for the additional interior space. I really liked this truck, it is still easy to park and maneuver but i needed a bigger truck, otherwise i would have no reason to sell her. Leather interior, sunroof, bucket seats. It makes plenty of power for me stock, all i tow with it is my 6 foot utility trailer, dirt bikes and mountain bikes and i didn't want to reduce reliability because i was planning on keeping it for many many years. What can i say, single guy gets in a relationship and things change... :) I am the original owner and there have been zero mods done to the engine. No crazy tuner, no wacky exhaust, air intake, propane injection or any other odd stuff like that. She has been bone stock her whole life. Actually that is not entirely true, i did make a few changes. When it had 200 miles on it i removed the stock tires and fitted some hummer H2 rims with 285/70/17 tires to fill out the wheel wells. I put the stock tires back on it because i moved the H2 rims to my new truck. I also added a 5 micron fuel filter with water separator just after the fuel tank for extra protection against bad fuel. The stock fuel filter is not that great, and the water bowl is very small so i wanted to add some extra protection. The Wix 33005 is very easy to drain any accumulated water from, unlike the stock filter, it is also much less expensive to replace. This truck has primarily been used for road trips with dirt bikes or mountain bikes and has nearly all highway miles on it. ( i have 3 other small cars that i use for around town, commute and things like that) I keep track of fuel consumption and over the life of the vehicle i have gotten about 18.5 mpg according to my fuel cubby app. 6435 gallons, 116600 miles. You can check their math, i came up with 18.2 but i am no math whiz. Numerous trips to Austin Tx, Iowa, Colorado, Oregon, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, So-Cal, i've even gone to North Carolina a few times. So when i say "nearly all highway miles" thats really what i mean. The axles are 3.73 gear ratio and the rear has a locking diff. I used to send oil samples off to Blackstone labs but they were all coming back the same "looks great, you can double the mileage between oil change intervals". I stopped sending in samples and kept to my routine of new Chevron Delo oil every 8k miles. I just took the truck to Courtesy Chevrolet where i bought and had them do a checkup to see if anything was out of place and they gave it a clean bill of health. She is ready for a new home, as much as i hate to sell her. It has a Line-X bed liner the i had sprayed when new. It also has my motorcycle rack in the back. The primary use of the truck has been for dirt bike road trips like i mentioned earlier. I can take out the motorcycle rack if you don't want it, or leave it there if you want it. there are a few dings which can be expected for any used truck. Someone bumped the right rear corner and left a nice dent in the quarter panel. Otherwise, that is the only real damage aside from some nicks here and there. Never been in a accident, no hidden damage.
