Thanks for looking at my awesome Porsche 944 turbo, one of the nicest looking vehicles on the internet. Repainted beautifully in Guards Red with period correct coloring and beautiful Fuchs wheels and rims, the 944 turbo is THE iconic vehicle of the 80's. The car is equipped with a smooth shifting 5 speed manual transmission that, with the help of a strong turbo, pulls the car hard in all gears. The 50/50 weight ratio on the 944 allows for exceptional handing characteristics. The car even sports the original Blaupunkt radio cassette player. This particular example would make a nice show piece in the right hands because it is a totally unmolested vehicle, or it could easily be converted into a fierce track car if so desired. Now for transparency. As with just about every 25 year old 944, the dash comes with standard cracks. Also, the left side of the driver seat bolster is torn- although this does not effect seat comfort. I also purchased a very nice new car cover in August to keep the garage dust off, and this will be included with the purchase. The wheels and tires are in extremely good condition. It will need a master cylinder soon. The air conditioner does not work. The previous owner of the car had the timing belt changed approximately 10K-15K miles ago, but could not provide me with documentation. Although the speedo works, the odometer is not moving-something I was not aware of but I have put less than 300 miles on the car since I purchased it. The titles have all documented mileage. I bought the car to drive to an 80's party and, well, the party is over. Please ask questions before bidding and remember, a bid is a contract to purchase. The car is being relisted due to a non-paying bidder. Although I have described the car as accurately as possible, this is a 26 year old vehicle being sold "as is" with no warranty included or implied. The car is for sale locally at the Buy It Now price so I reserve the right to end the auction without warning regardless of bids if the car sells locally. On Sep-16-12 at 05:58:06 PDT, seller added the following information: Addendum: The tilt feature of the sunroof doesn't work although the tilt motor works(likely the cables). The sunroof can be removed and replaced just fine. On Sep-21-12 at 06:51:22 PDT, seller added the following information: I just sent the car to my local porsche dealership where I take my 911. My service advisor gave it a quick look and said the car runs strong. He also invited me to use him as a reference for the high bidder(s) to call. I will send his number out to the high bidder(s) as the auction nears a close and you can give him a call about the car. Almost like an independent inspection without costing you a dime.
