Vehicle Detail
Summary:2003 Chevy S-10 pickup with the rare ZR2 off-road package. Truck is an extended cab, LS model with 99,638 (increases as it is my daily driver) miles on the 4.3L Vortec V6 engine and automatic transmission. LS model includes Power Windows, Power Locks, Cruise Control, Sliding Rear Window, Remote Entry, Fog Lights, etc.The truck was purchased two years ago in Indiana with 75,000 miles. It was selected for its one owner history and relatively low mileage, and despite being from Indiana it has minimal rust underneath. Engine, transmission, and electronic 4x4 all function perfectly. The interior is in good to very good condition, and the exterior is in good condition with minor scratches and dings you would expect from a truck of this age. I have included an extensive list of the service history and modifications made below. Truck has not been "off-roaded," "mudding," or "wheeling," it has only been camping and to the beach. In the interest of full disclosure:The parking brake is not functional at the moment due to how the rock sliders are welded on. The parking brake cable needs to be rerouted. The rear fender flares were UV faded, so I sanded them down (plastic) and resprayed them. There is some "orange peel" effect as a result. Note this is not something you see until you are very close to the truck, and they can easily be re-sanded and repainted since they are plastic. The next major maintenance items will be front end components. They are at the age where they tend to wear out on these trucks and I can feel it beginning in the steering. I've kept up with alignments, but the steering wheel is cocked a few degrees to the 11 o'clock when going down a straight line. It appears the lower ball joints have already been replaced as they are bolted in (factory are riveted in).Truck will come with the UWS toolbox, the factory front tow hooks, and an extra set of front brake rotors for easier brake jobs. Shipping and Payment: The buyer will need to coordinate and pay for all shipping (if required). I will require a $500 deposit via paypal within 24 hours of purchase. The remainder of the purchase price should be paid via Bank Cashier's Check or Cash within 7 days of the purchase or upon picking up the vehicle. If I do not receive the remaining balance within 7 days, the truck will be re-listed. This truck does have a lien against it, so once I receive the cash, I will pay off the loan and overnight the title to the buyer. Note: Vehicle is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction early. Maintenance history: Oil changes with synthetic every 5k 80k miles: Spark plugs replaced, distributor cap and rotor replaced, fuel filter replaced. K&N drop in air filter installed along with "swissed" air box. 85k miles: Fluids serviced: front and rear differential, transfer case, and transmission with filter. Spark plug wires replaced. ~87k miles: Heater core replaced 90k miles: Front brakes serviced. Extra set of rotors included for easy brake jobs. 92k miles: New serpentine belt, new A/C compressor, evap canister and vacuum/recharge. New aluminum distributor installed. PCV valve replaced. Cooling system completely overhauled (Achilles heel of these trucks): Lower intake manifold gaskets replaced, all upper intake/plenum gaskets replaced, valve cover gaskets replaced, new water pump, new thermostat, new lower radiator hose. Coolant was switched over to green. Alignment performed. 95k miles: Radiator replaced due to a crack. Coolant flushed with install. Interior: 8.5/10: cloth seats have no tears, dash has no cracks. Factory head unit was replaced with a Pioneer double din unit, wired for USB ipod behind the dash and is Bluetooth compatible. Factory speakers have been replaced with Infinity in dash and doors. Driver's side power window motor has been replaced. I deleted the jack compartment in the backseat because it was smack in the middle and got in the way a lot. Since I had a toolbox on the truck I cut off the bracket and put the jack in the toolbox. Created a lot more usable space in the back of the cab.Exterior: Front windows tinted to match the factory tint on the rear windows Performance accessories 2" body lift installed April 2012 Daystar 1.5" rear shackles 31x1050x15 BF Goodrich All Terrain K/O tires with 50% tread (will clear 33s) on Crager soft 8 wheels. CKNaffle Rock sliders, installed June 2012 Dynomax Cat-back exhaust UWS Low-profile toolbox Spray in bedliner Full size spare BFG on steel wheel mounted underbed Debadged the LS badges and ZR2 decals
