1978 Triumph Bonneville

This is a 1978 Triumph Bonneville 750 with matching frame and motor numbers. This is not a stock, rare, cherry, one owner, show bike, trailer queen. It is loud, and sounds like the Devil's doorbell. Law enforcement will be angered, old ladies and small children will be frightened. It is a great bar hopper, but it is not a coast to coast Jupiter's traveler. It will leave oil, gasoline, and occasionally parts in it's wake. If you are a new rider you may want to look elsewhere, but if you're into vintage Brit bikes and want something to customize and rip around on this is it! If I haven't talked you out of buying it yet, here are some of the details: The motor was gone over recently - stripped down to the sludge trap. This includes new rod bearings, valves, and valve guides. Brand new cylinder made in England, with Asian pistons, and Hastings rings. It leaks a bit of oil from the final drive but is otherwise tight and righteous. Balcked out rims and hubs with SS Buchanan spokes. The spokes and hubs still look tits, but the paint on the rims is getting scratched. It needs tires - these are old and worn. New electrical system with aftermarket lights and turn signals, switches, an electronic regulator/rectifier, and fresh AGM battery. New flatslide carbs give it very snapy throttle response. A Honda CB750 35mm front end (which includes forks, upper and lower trees, brakes, and wheel) replaced the Ceriani front end. The stearing stem on the Honda setup was modified, the Triumph frame is unchanged. The bike runs strong, starts easily. It is a decent bike but I want the buyer to be aware there are a few fleas on this dog.
