FOR SALE IS AN ORIGINAL 1965 FORD MUSTANG FASTBACK. THE CAR IS A C CODE 289 FROM THE FACTORY WITH A 4 SPEED TRANSMISSION. IT HAS A CLEAR TEXAS TITLE WITH A VIN THAT MATCHES THE INNER FENDER AND THE DOOR TAG. THE CAR WAS ORIGINALLY CASPIAN BLUE WITH BLUE AND WHITE INTERIOR.DOOR TAG READS: BODY: 63ACOLOR: HTRIM: D2DATE: 11LDSO: 24AXLE: 6TRANS: 5 I PURCHASED THE CAR FROM THE THIRD OWNER IN MIAMI. HE HAD THE CAR FOR ABOUT A YEAR AND DID NOTHING TO IT. I HAVE A COPY OF THE ORIGINAL 1965 TITLE WITH THE LIEN SIGNED OFF IN 1968.THE STORY I GOT WAS WHEN THE ORIGINAL OWNER DIED HIS SON BEGAN TO TURN IT INTO A DRAG CAR BUT NEVER FINISHED OR EVEN GOT A MOTOR OR TRANS IN IT. THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN CUT UP OR BANGED UP IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM. THE SECOND OWNER HAD A LOT OF AMBITION, BUT IT NEVER MATERIALIZED WHEN I PURCHASED THE CAR IT WAS MISSING THE MOTOR AND TRANS, BUT WAS OTHERWISE COMPLETE. I TORE THE CAR COMPLETELY APART ASIDE FROM THE ROLLING GEAR IN ORDER TO TRANSPORT IT TO A SANDBLASTER. THE CAR WAS READY TO GO WHEN I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL I HAD BEEN WANTING FOR OVER 5 YEARS. MY FIRST CAR A LAST DAY BUILT 65 FASTBACK GT WAS BEING OFFERED BACK TO ME BY MY OLD HS BUDDY WHO HAS HAD THE CAR FOR CLOSE TO 30 YEARS. I COULD NOT PASS IT UP SO THIS PROJECT IS NOW FOR SALE. THE BAD: THE CAR WILL NEED TO HAVE THE COWL REPLACED. THE COWL HAS SOME HALF ASS FIBERGLASS ATTEMPT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND RUST THROUGH ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AT THE FRESH AIR VENT. THE FLOORS HAVE BEEN WORKED ON BEFORE, BUT ALSO BY THE SAME HS SHOP CLASS BY THE LOOKS OF IT. I WAS GOING TO WAIT UNTIL I GOT THE CAR BACK FROM THE SAND BLASTER TO SEE WHAT I WAS GOING TO DO TO FIX THEM. I WOULD COUNT ON PUTTING FULL FLOOR IN IT. IT IS EASIER AND LOOKS BETTER WHEN COMPLETED. THE TRUNK WILL NEED ONE OF THE DROP SIDES REPLACED AND THE PORTION THAT EXTENDS FROM THE TANK OPENING TOWARDS THE BACK SEAT. THESE PIECES WERE SUPPLIED TO ME WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR AND WILL BE INCLUDED. THERE ARE OTHER SMALL AREAS HERE AND THERE THAT COULD BE PATCHED, BUT NOTHING ELSE THAT REQUIRES FULL PANELS. THE CARS HAS NO HOOD OR DECK LID. I SOLD THEM TO FINANCE THE PURCHASE OF A FIBERGLASS HOOD, DECK LID AND LOWER R FRONT APRON WHICH WILL BE DISCUSSED LATER. THE WIRING HARNESS HAS BEEN REMOVED WITH A FEW MAKE EASY CUTS. I WAS PLANNING ON REPLACING ALL OF THE WIRING AS AN UPGRADE AND NEEDING TO PROVIDE PROPER WIRING FOR DIFFERENT GAUGES OTHER THAN THE FALCON PANEL THE CAR CAME WITH. THE CAR WILL NEED A GAS TANK AS WELL. CURRENTLY A FLAT PIECE OF SHEET METAL COVERS THE DROP IN PORTION OF THE TRUNK. ANTICIPATION FOR A FUEL CELL WOULD BE MY GUESS. THERE IS NO ENGINE. WHEN I PURCHASED THE CAR IT CAME WITH A T5 LATE MODEL 5 SPEED TRANNY IN NEED OF A REBUILD...SYNCHROS I WAS TOLD. IT WILL COME WITH THE CAR. I PLANNED ON A FORD CRATE ENGINE TO POWER IT. THE GOOD: THE FRAME RAILS AND TORQUE BOXES ARE RUST FREE. THE FRONT OF THE CAR NORTH OF THE FIREWALL IS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE. IT NEEDS NOTHING BUT BLASTED AND PAINTED. THE FENDERS ARE VERY USABLE. ONE IS ORIGINAL TO THE CAR, THE OTHER IS A FORD CFZZ REPLACEMENT. THE DOORS ARE USABLE AS WELL WITH A LITTLE RUST IN PLACES, BUT NOT BAD AT ALL. THE REAR QTRS ARE VERY NICE. THERE APPEARS TO BE A VERY SMALL...<1 INCH PATCH ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. NOTHING ON THE PASSENGER. THE GRILLE, BUMPERS AND A LOT OF THE BRIGHT WORK IS NEW. THE COMPLETE FOLD DOWN REAR SEAT IS COMPLETED AS ARE ALL OF THE REAR INTERIOR TRIM PIECES. COMPLETE AND NOT BROKEN!! THE DROP DOWN DOOR HAS NO SPEAKERS HOLE CUT IN IT NOR DOES ANY OTHER PART OF THE CAR. THE SEATS ARE INCLUDED AND OBVIOUSLY NEED RECOVERED. THE DOOR PANELS AND HEADLINER WILL OBVIOUSLY NEED DONE AS WELL. HEADLINER BOWS ARE INCLUDED. THE FRONT SUSPENSION IS STILL ON THE CAR EXCEPT FOR THE SHOCKS. AT ONE POINT IN THE CARS LIFE GRANADA SPINDLES AND DISC BRAKES WERE ADDED. THEY ARE STILL ON THE CAR. WHAT YOU DECIDE TO CLEAN AND REUSE IS UP TO YOU. THE REAR END IS A 9"...NOT THE STANDARD 8. IT APPEARS TO HAVE A 4.11 GEAR SET IN IT. BY THE CODES IT IS OUT OF A 57-60 FORD WITH THE SAME HOUSING WIDTH AS THE 65 MUSTANGS. WHEN ROLLING BACKWARDS THERE IS SOME POPPING/CLICKING. IT HAS A MINI SPOOL/SPOOL OR MAYBE EVEN A LOCKER IN IT. I HAVE NOT PULLED THE AXLES AND PUMPKIN TO INVESTIGATE. IT CAN BE YOUR SURPRISE. ALL OF THE GLASS IS PRESENT. THE WINDSHIELD IS A NICE REPLACEMENT. THE REST IS ORIGINAL FORD WITH THE BACK BEING A VERY NICE TINTED EXAMPLE! THE CAR WILL INCLUDE FRONT AND REAR VALANCES AND STONE GUARD. NEW FRONT TURN SIGNALS ARE INCLUDED AS WELL. ALL OF THE NUTS AND BOLTS WERE SAVED IF YOU CARE TO CLEAN AND REUSE ANY. I INSTALL ALL NEW WHEN I REBUILD THESE. ALL METAL PARTS THAT I WAS NOT GOING TO REUSE ARE STILL IN MY SCRAP PILE IF YOU CARE TO PICK THROUGH THEM. YOU WILL FIND BOLT ON SUB FRAME CONNECTORS, RADIATOR, STARTER, GUAGES, GLOVE BOX DOOR AND OTHER STUFF. AS FOR THE HOOD, DECK LID AND APRON...I WILL PART WITH THESE FOR COST EXCEPT FOR THE SHIIPING I PAID IF YOU ARE INTERESTED. THE HOOD IS A FIBERGLASS WITH THE 67 STYLE SHELBY SCOOPS. THE DECK LID IS FIBERGLASS WITH MOLDED SPOILER AS WELL AS THE QTR ENDCAPS. THE R APRON INCLUDES PROVISIONS FOR TURN SIGNALS AND A BUMPER. ALL PARTS ARE NEW IN THE BOXES.
