I am selling my 1971 Chevelle Coupe, it is lettered up and looks like an SS. But other then the cal hood and the SS on the fenders and door panels, it's pretty obvious that this car is just a Malibu. I bought this car with full intentions to fix it up, but if you didn't already notice my other running auctions, I have a few too many toys and projects and not enough room. So I am willing to part with a few. The odometer reads 68,146, but the title says 170K and exceeds mechanical limits. Under the hood of this lightly smashed chevelle sets a 350 V8 with headers and aluminum intake. The car does run and drive, the motor sounds pretty good and doesn't seem to smoke, but it does have an exhaust leak at one of the headers. The trans is a TH400 and seems to work good, but because of the front end damage I didn't go to far with it. The car has a 10 bolt rear and 4 wheel drum brakes (not power). All the lights seem to work, the glass is good except for the windshield, the frame is solid and straight, but does need a little attention where the front bumper mounts, it looks a bit dented. The body does have some rust issues, but floors and trunk seem to be intact. The interior is in nice shape, and so are the wheels and tires. By the way, I have no idea why the battery is in the trunk. I believe that is all I can tell you about this car and did the best I could with the pictures.
