Vehicle Detail

I purchased this car for $8950 five years ago. It has been a great car. It has been kept in the garage with the top down ready for Sunday drives. There have not been a whole lot of issues, mechanical, electrical, or otherwise. However, it has not been driven regularly for the last nine months or so due to job demands. So, routine maintenance has not been done. The motor is strong. Clutch and brakes are good. Transmission is sound. Body is in great shop with little rust and no dings. The paint, which is not original, is slightly faded on the hood with minor little scratches throughout. The top is in good shape with nice, clear windows. There is one very minor tear just behind the drivers door, that is totally fixable. The seats are in remarkably good shape with only minimal tears. Interior carpet is clean and in good shape. The dash panels are slightly faded along with the instrument panels. The electrical systems is not perfect, but is not totally a mess. The lights, turn signals, brake lights, and radio all work-although the radio is not great. The windshield wipers work, but the passenger side needs to be replaced. The trunk is clean and in good shape. The motor is also reasonably clean, but there are minor leaks, as with any 40 year old car, which can be easily fixed by someone who is handy. Tires and rims look great. Here are the KNOWN issues with this car. Keep in mind I am not a mechanic. The gas gage does not work. The speedometer does not work-I simply use my GPS. The horn does not work. The emergency brake does not work. I have removed the visors and rear view mirror to help with vision, but I have them all in the trunk along with the passenger side windshield wiper. The bright lights do not work. There was a leak from the carburetor, due to bad gaskets, but they have been replaced. As previously mentioned, there are one or two minor fluid leaks that I can not track them down. There is a small, fixable tear in the top. The paint and front grill cover are slightly faded. There a tiny scratches and a small ding on the front bumper, but chrome shines well. Exhaust is slightly loose, but sounds good. The mileage is actually unknown and is simply listed as "exempt" on title. I FAILED TO MENTION UNDER KNOWN PROBLEMS: THE FUEL PUMP NEEDS REPLACED!!!!!! SORRY.
